*Director General Agriculture Extension Balochistan Distributes Certificates at FAO’s Innovative Agricultural Extension Training*
*QUETTA:* A three-day training programme titled “Innovative Agricultural Extension and Outreach Training” was organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) from 18 to 20 August 2026 in Quetta.
*The closing ceremony of the training programme was held at the FAO Head Office, Chaman Housing Scheme, Quetta. Mr. Masoud Ahmed Baloch, Director General Agriculture Extension, Balochistan, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest and distributed certificates among the officers who successfully completed the training.*
*Mr. Waleed Mehdi, Head of FAO Balochistan, and Mr. Rizwan Hayat, Programme Lead, were also present on the occasion.*
The training focused on modern and innovative agricultural extension and outreach approaches, with emphasis on improving communication with farmers, strengthening field-level services, and enhancing the effectiveness of agricultural extension in Balochistan.
The successful completion of the training programme marks an important step towards enhancing the capacity of deputy directors and agriculture officers and improving extension and outreach services for the farming community across the province.
