The entire Pakistani-administered Kashmir has been cut off from the world. An area of four thousand square miles has effectively been turned into a prison. All markets are completely closed, the roads are totally blocked, and mobile phones, the internet, landlines — in short, every kind of service — is shut down.
Complete control is in the hands of the people.
There is nothing that can be called a government.
Local police are prepared at any time to refuse duty.
A plea to Jammu & Kashmir residents abroad: raise your voices, draw international organizations’ attention to these human-rights violations, and protest outside Pakistani embassies.
The public is waiting for the Public Action Committee’s next course of action and are ready at any time for any call. A large number of young people are also preparing to pull down the towers of companies that are not providing services.
I am posting this right now from a remote area using a friend’s personal system.
