There is one thing I lost for Pakistan that still causes me great pain.

After my divorce from Jemima, my two sons went back to London with their mother. I was left here in Pakistan, away from my children and carrying that pain alone.

I could have chosen a comfortable life for myself. But I chose Pakistan.

While many politicians entered politics for wealth and personal interests, I wanted to dedicate myself to my country. I love Pakistan, and I wanted to make it a better country for its people and for the generations to come.

I lost a lot personally, but I never lost my love for Pakistan. 🇵🇰

"بتوں سے تجھ کو امیدیں، خدا سے نومیدی
مجھے بتا تو سہی، اور کافری کیا ہے؟"

جب قومیں انصاف، قانون اور حق کے بجائے طاقتور افراد، مفادات یا وقتی اقتدار سے امیدیں وابستہ کر لیتی ہیں تو وہ اپنی اصل قوت، یعنی اللہ پر توکل اور انصاف کے اصول، سے دور ہو جاتی ہیں۔

ہم پاکستانیوں کی نظر میں عمران خان کی طویل قید، قیدِ تنہائی اور جیل کی سختیاں اس بات کی علامت ہیں کہ وہ اپنے سیاسی مؤقف پر قائم ہیں اور پاکستان میں قانون کی حکمرانی، عوام کے حقِ رائے دہی اور حقیقی آزادی کے لیے جدوجہد کر رہے ہیں۔ ہم نوجوان یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ ان کی قربانیاں ذاتی مفاد کے لیے نہیں بلکہ ملک اور قوم کے بہتر مستقبل کے لیے ہیں۔

اختلافِ رائے جمہوریت کا حصہ ہے، مگر ہر معاشرے کی مضبوطی اس میں ہے کہ انصاف، شفاف قانونی عمل، بنیادی حقوق اور عوام کی آواز کا احترام کیا جائے۔ ایک مضبوط اور مستحکم پاکستان اسی وقت ممکن ہے جب تمام شہریوں کے ساتھ قانون کے مطابق اور مساوی سلوک ہو، اور سیاسی اختلافات کا حل آئین، قانون اور جمہوری عمل کے ذریعے تلاش کیا جائے۔

اللہ تعالیٰ حق ہے، اور حق آخرکار غالب ہو کر رہتا ہے۔
