On 20 May 2026, Muhammad Ishfaq, PAO/SSMS Agronomy, Adaptive Research Farm, Sargodha , along with his team, Mrs. Ammara Khan, Assistant Research Officer (Engineering), and Farm Manager Mr. Hassan Waqi, visited the research farm to review ongoing field activities and discuss the selection of suitable areas for upcoming Kharif trials.

During the visit, He inspected the cotton crop trials of Triple gene varieties as well as the cotton trial related to heat stress mitigation. He thoroughly observed the agronomic practices being carried out in the field and provided technical guidance for the effective management of trials.

He also instructed the farm staff to spray appropriate insecticides for the effective control of insect infestation in the cotton crop. Furthermore, detailed discussions were held regarding the varieties planned for sowing in the upcoming trials, nursery sowing schedules, and the selection of a suitable area for rice nursery establishment.

On 14 May 2026, Mrs. Ammara Khan, Assistant Research Officer (Engineering), conducted a trial focused on intercropping of millet and sorghum in cotton crop to mitigate heat stress under the supervision of Mr. Muhammad Ishfaq PAO/SSMS Agronomy, ARF Sargodha. He reviewed the ongoing field activities and closely observed trial layout, spatial arrangement of intercrops, and assessed agronomical practices in detail.

The supervising officer also provided important technical guidance and on-spot recommendations to improve trial ex*****on.

Mr. Muhammad Abid Manzoor Jakhar Director Agriculture (FT & AR) Sargodha visited Sultana Garden Jahurabad on 28-4-2026 and monitored harvesting of Wheat crop at Farm along with Mr. Muhammad Ishfaq Deputy Director/SSMS (Agr.) Adaptive Research Farm, Sargodha and Mr. Malik Mumtaz Awan , Assistant Director Agriculture (Farms) Jahurabad.
