یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی (یو ای ٹی) کے سول انجینئرنگ ڈپارٹمنٹ کے 73 طلبا و طالبات بشمول فیکلٹی ممبرزنے ڈیم سائٹ اور پاور ہاؤس کا دورہ کیا۔ اس تعلیمی دورے کا مقصد طلبہ کو نصابی تعلیم کے ساتھ ساتھ عملی اور تکنیکی امور سے روشناس کروانا تھا۔ دورے کے دوران ڈیم کی تعمیراتی ساخت، واٹر منیجمنٹ، ہائیڈرو الیکٹرک پاور جنریشن (پاور ہاؤس) کے طریقہ کار اور سیفٹی پروٹوکولز پر تفصیلی بریفنگ دی گئی۔

فیکلٹی ممبرز اور طلبہ نے اس معلوماتی دورے کو سراہا اور انتظامیہ کا شکریہ ادا کیا جن کی کاوشوں سے عملی انجینئرنگ کے باریک نکات کو سمجھنے کا موقع ملا۔

Educational Field Visit of UET Lahore (Narowal Campus) Civil Engineering Students to Dam Site & Power House

A delegation of 73 male and female students from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore – Narowal Campus, conducted an educational and technical field visit to the Dam Site and Power House.

The primary objective of this study tour was to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical field operations. During the visit, students were briefed on dam structural design, water resource management, hydroelectricity generation, control room mechanics, and safety protocols.

The faculty and students expressed their gratitude to the site management for facilitating an enriching experience that substantially added to their academic knowledge and understanding of real-world infrastructure engineering.

79واں یومِ آزادیٔ پاکستان آفیسرز کلب، تربیلا میں نہایت جوش و خروش، ولولے اور ملی جذبے کے ساتھ منایا گیا، جس میں جنرل منیجر (پاور) تربیلا،افسران، اہلکاران، ملازمین، طلبہ اور دیگر معزز مہمانوں نے شرکت کی۔

تقریب کا آغاز پرچم کشائی سے ہوا، جس کے بعد قومی ترانہ، یومِ آزادی کا کیک کاٹنے کی تقریب، تقاریر اور واپڈا بوائز ہائی اسکول کے طلبہ کی جانب سے شاندار ملی نغموں اور دیگر پروگرام پیش کیے گئے۔ نمایاں کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کرنے والے طلبہ اور ٹیم لیڈرز میں ان کی گراں قدر خدمات کے اعتراف میں انعامات اور شیلڈز تقسیم کی گئیں، جبکہ ایکسین (سول)، رائٹ بینک کالونیز، پرنسپل واپڈا بوائز ہائی اسکول، اور واپڈا سیکیورٹی فورس و واچ اینڈ وارڈ ٹیم کو بھی شیلڈز پیش کی گئیں۔

اختتام پر جنرل منیجر (پاور)، تربیلا نے تمام افسران، اہلکاران، ملازمین، طلبہ اور کالونی کے مکینوں کا تقریب میں بھرپور شرکت اور تعاون پر شکریہ ادا کیا، جس کی بدولت یہ تقریب ایک یادگار موقع بن گئی۔

The 79th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated at Officer Club, Tarbela, with great zeal, enthusiasm, and patriotic spirit, attended by GM (Power) Tarbela, officers, officials, employees, students, and other guests.

The ceremony commenced with the flag hoisting , followed by the national anthem, Independence Day cake cutting, speeches, and impressive national performances by the students of WAPDA Boys High School. Prizes and shields were distributed among the participating students and team leaders in recognition of their valuable contributions, with shields presented to the XEN (Civil), Right Bank Colonies, Principal WAPDA Boys High School, and WAPDA Security Force & Watch & Ward Team.

At the conclusion, the General Manager (Power), Tarbela, thanked all officers, officials, employees, students, and colony tenants for their enthusiastic participation and cooperation in making the event a memorable occasion.

تربیلا ڈیم پراجیکٹ میں 79 ویں یومِ آزادی کی مناسبت سے پُروقار تقریب، جنرل منیجر سمیت اسٹاف نے ملکی سلامتی اور خوشحالی کے لیے خصوصی دعا کی

ملک بھر کی طرح تربیلا ڈیم پراجیکٹ میں بھی پاکستان کا 79 واں یومِ آزادی ملی جوش و جذبے اور عقیدت کے ساتھ منایا گیا جہاں مرکزی تقریب کے دوران جنرل منیجر/پراجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر تربیلا ڈیم پراجیکٹ انور شاہ نے پرچم کشائی کی۔ اس موقع پر واپڈا سیکیورٹی فورس کے چاق و چوبند دستے نے قومی پرچم کو سلامی پیش کی جبکہ فضا میں قومی ترانے کی دھنیں گونجتی رہیں۔

تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے جنرل منیجر تربیلا ڈیم پراجیکٹ نے تمام افسران و ملازمین کو یومِ آزادی کی مبارکباد پیش کی اور بانیِ پاکستان قائد اعظم محمد علی جناح سمیت تحریکِ پاکستان کے تمام شہداء کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا۔

انہوں نے اس عزم کا اعادہ بھی کیا کہ تربیلا ڈیم پاکستان کی اقتصادی ترقی اور توانائی و آبپاشی کی ضروریات پوری کرنے میں قومی خدمت سر انجام دیتا رہے گا۔

تقریب میں ایڈوائزر T4، T5 محمد اعظم جوئیہ، چیف انجینئر (سول) سید علی حیدر اور دیگر افسران و ملازمین نے شرکت کی۔ تقریب کے اختتام پر جشن آزادی کے حوالے سے کیک کاٹا گیا اور پورے ملک میں امن، خوشحالی اور استحکام کے لیے اجتماعی دعا کی گئی۔

تربیلا ڈیم مکمل بھر گیا
آبپاش زراعت کیلئے ڈیم میں 55 لاکھ 80 ہزار ایکڑ فٹ پانی دستیاب

تربیلا ڈیم مکمل بھر گیا ہے۔ اس وقت ڈیم میں پانی کی سطح ایک ہزار 550 فٹ ہے، جو موجودہ ہائی فلو سیزن کے دوران ایک اہم کامیابی ہے۔ اس وقت تربیلا جھیل میں 55 لاکھ 80 ہزار ایکڑ فٹ قابلِ استعمال پانی دستیاب ہے، جسے آئندہ سیزن میں آبپاشی کی ضروریات پوری کرنے کے لیے استعمال میں لایا جا سکے گا۔پانی کی دستیابی سے تربیلا ہائیڈل پاور سٹیشن کے آپریشن میں بھی بہتری آئے گی اور نیشنل گرڈ کیلئے سستی اور ماحول دوست پن بجلی کی پیداوار میں بھی اضافہ ہوگا۔

یہ امر قابلِ ذکر ہے کہ تربیلا پاکستان کی اقتصادی اور معاشرتی ترقی میں اہم کردار ادا کر رہا ہے۔ تربیلا ڈیم کی تکمیل سے اب تک ریزروائر سے زراعت کیلئے 422 ملین ایکڑ فٹ ذخیرہ کیا گیا پانی فراہم کیا جاچکا ہے، جبکہ تربیلا ہائیڈل پاور سٹیشن سے نیشنل گرڈ کو 623 ارب یونٹ سے زائد کلین، گرین اور کم لاگت پن بجلی بھی مہیا کی جاچکی ہے۔

1974 میں ڈیم مکمل ہونے سے اب تک اس اہم منصوبہ سے پاکستان کو تقریباً 460 ارب امریکی ڈالر کے معاشی فوائد حاصل ہو چکے ہیں۔

Tarbela Filled to Maximum Level
5.58 MAF Water Available for Regulated Irrigation, Power Generation

The Tarbela Reservoir has filled to its maximum conservation level of 1,550 feet above mean sea level, marking a significant development during the ongoing high-flow season. Resultantly, about 5.58 million-acre feet (MAF) of live (useable) water is now available in the Reservoir for regulated releases to support irrigation needs for the upcoming crop seasons. This will also enhance the operational efficiency of Tarbela Hydel Power Station, enabling increased generation of clean, green and low-cost electricity for the National Grid.

It is important to note that Tarbela continues to play a vital role for sustainable socio-economic development in Pakistan. It has so far released about 422 MAF of stored water for the agriculture sector, in addition to contributing more than 623 billion environment-friendly and the most affordable electricity to the National Grid. Tarbela Dam has provided economic benefits to the tune of US$ 460 billion to Pakistan since 1974.

تربیلا پانچویں توسیعی منصوبے پر مون سون شجرکاری مہم کا باقاعدہ افتتاح کیا گیا۔ تربیلا پانچویں توسیعی منصوبے کے جنرل منیجر/پراجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر،عمیر منان نے پودا لگا کر مہم کا آغاز کیا۔

اس مہم کے تحت تربیلا ڈیم پراجیکٹ کالونیوں کے گرد و نواح کی آبادی میں ایک ہزار پودے تقسیم کرنے کا منصوبہ بنایاگیا ہے۔

اس اقدام کا مقصد عوام میں شجرکاری کی اہمیت، ماحولیاتی تحفظ اور سرسبز و صحت مند ماحول کے فروغ کے حوالے سے شعور اجاگر کرنا ہے.

Tree Plantation Ceremony at Tarbela 5th Extension Project

The Monsoon Tree Plantation Ceremony was inaugurated under the Tarbela 5th Extension Hydropower Project (T5HP). The General Manager/Project Director, T5HP, Umair Mannan, formally initiated the activity by planting a tree.

As part of the initiative, T5HP has planned to distribute 1,000 plants among the communities around the Tarbela Dam Project colonies.

The initiative aims to raise community awareness about the importance of tree plantation, environmental protection, and the promotion of a greener and healthier environment.

سپل وے ساڑھے 3 گھنٹے اوپن رہا، 2 لاکھ 42 ہزار 600 کیوسک پانی دریائے سندھ میں چھوڑا گیا

تربیلا سپل وے فلڈ سیزن 2026 میں آج پہلی بار اوپن کیا گیا۔ سپل وے آپریشن تمام مطلوبہ طریقہ کار اختیار کرتے ہوئے 11 بجے دن شروع کیا گیا۔ ضلعی انتظامیہ، مقامی پولیس، اور تمام متعلقہ محکموں کو باقاعدہ نوٹیفکیشن اور نامزد فلڈ کوآرڈینیشن سینٹر کے ذریعے سپل وے اوپن کرنے کے بارے میں پیشگی آگاہ کیا گیا۔

سپل وے آپریشن کامیابی کے ساتھ اڑھائی بجے دن اختتام پذیر ہوا۔ اس دوران تربیلا ڈیم سے دریائے سندھ میں مجموعی طور پر 2 لاکھ 42 ہزار 600 کیوسک پانی چھوڑا گیا۔ سپل وے آپریشن کے دوران تمام تکنیکی اور حفاظتی پیرامیٹرز اپنی حدود کے اندر رہے۔

متعلقہ حکام، ضلعی انتظامیہ اور سکیورٹی محکمے اس دوران ہائی الرٹ رہے اور انہوں نے عوام کے تحفظ کیلئے تمام ضروری احتیاطی اقدامات کو یقینی بنایا۔

Tarbela Auxiliary Spillway Operated for First Time in Flood Season 2026

July 17, 2026: The Auxiliary Spillway of Tarbela Reservoir successfully operated today for the first time during Flood Season 2026.

The operation commenced at 1100 hours in strict accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures. The District Administration, local police, and all departments concerned were informed in advance through an official notification and via the designated Flood Coordination Center.

The spillway operation concluded smoothly at 1430 hours. A total of 242,600 cusecs of water was released into the Indus River downstream of Tarbela Dam. All technical and safety parameters remained well within safe limits throughout the operation.

The relevant authorities and administrative and security departments remained on high alert and ensured necessary precautionary measures for public safety.
