Grand Visit of Esteemed Guests to Government College of Technology Layyah
​Today, Mr. Akhtar Abbas Bharwana Sahib, Senior Director General of TEVTA Lahore, Punjab, along with Engineer Qazi Muhammad Asad Sahib and Engineer Abdul Wasay Sahib, Principal of Government College of Technology (GCT) Multan, visited the Government College of Technology (GCT) Layyah.
​On this occasion, Engineer Kashif Abbas Sahib, Principal sb of GCT Layyah, along with the Heads of Department of all technologies, extended a warm and cordial welcome to the honored guests. The visit officially commenced with the planting of a tree upon the guests' arrival.
​Subsequently, a detailed meeting was held with the Principal Sb and the Heads of Department. The discussion covered the institution's performance, educational environment, technical training provided to students, and future development plans.
​The esteemed guests thoroughly reviewed the labs dedicated to the short-term courses—which include Plumbing and Welder—currently offered under the Chief Minister Punjab's initiative. The guests expressed their complete satisfaction after observing the high training standards, cleanliness, and discipline maintained at the labs.
​During the event, a special prize, shield, and check were presented to the bright first-year student of Civil Technology who brought immense pride to the institution by securing the third position in the Board examinations.
​The respected guests concluded the visit by praising the institution's dedication, discipline, and student successes, and extended their sincere best wishes for its continued prosperity.

Defense Day Observed at Government College of Technology Layyah
On 6th September, the Government College of Technology Layyah organized a dignified ceremony to commemorate Defence Day of Pakistan. The college staff and students participated with great national spirit and enthusiasm.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by national songs presented by the students. The program was hosted by Mr. Muhammad Parvaiz Durrani (Instructor Mechanical), while the acting principal Syed Alamdar Haider Naqvi presided over the ceremony.
Competitions of speech, national songs, on the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces were held among the students. Prizes were awarded to the position holders in these competitions.
In the concluding session, Honorable Guest Mr. Iqbal Ahmad Khan (Retired Senior Instructor) offered prayers for the prosperity and defence of Pakistan,
and a peaceful rally was taken out to honor the martyrs and heroes of 6th September.

EID-Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ Celebrated at Government College of Technology Layyah
On 6th September, corresponding to 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, a dignified ceremony was held at the Government College of Technology Layyah to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ.
Teachers and students of the college participated with great enthusiasm.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by Na’at.
The program was hosted by Mr. Muhammad Parvaiz Durrani (Instructor Mechanical), while the acting principal Mr. Syed Alamdar Hiader Naqvi presided over the ceremony. Competitions of Qira’at, Na’at recitation, and speeches on Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ were held among the students. Prizes were distributed among the position holders.
In the concluding session, Honorable Guest Mr. Iqbal Ahmad Khan (Retired Senior Instructor) offered prayers.
Sweets were distributed among the students, and finally, a peaceful rally was taken out to express love and devotion for the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
