گدون میں پوست کی کاشت پر پابندی اور اس کے بعد کی حقیقت — ایک جائزہ

گدون (ضلع صوابی) کبھی پوست کی کاشت کے لیے مشہور تھا، جو مقامی لوگوں کی بڑی آمدن کا ذریعہ تھی۔ 1980s–1990s میں حکومتِ پاکستان نے بین الاقوامی دباؤ کے تحت اس پر پابندی عائد کر دی۔ اس فیصلے سے ہزاروں کسان متاثر ہوئے اور مقامی معیشت کو شدید دھچکا لگا۔

حکومت اور مقامی عمائدین کے درمیان مذاکرات کے بعد چند بڑے وعدے کیے گئے:
• گدون انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ (1988) — مقامی لوگوں کے لیے 60% نوکریوں کا کوٹہ
• نوجوانوں کے لیے ہنر مندی اور روزگار کے مواقع
• کسانوں کے لیے متبادل فصلیں (گندم، مکئی، تمباکو)
• سڑکیں، بجلی، پانی، اسکول اور ہسپتال

❗ مگر حقیقت کیا بنی؟
• 60% لوکل کوٹہ مکمل طور پر نافذ نہ ہو سکا
• زیادہ تر نوکریاں غیر مقامی افراد کو مل گئیں
• کئی فیکٹریاں بند ہو گئیں، روزگار کم ہو گیا
• متبادل فصلیں اتنی منافع بخش ثابت نہ ہو سکیں
• ترقیاتی وعدے ادھورے رہ گئے

📌 موجودہ صورتحال:
غربت، بے روزگاری اور نوجوانوں میں مایوسی بڑھ رہی ہے، جبکہ کچھ علاقوں میں غیر قانونی سرگرمیوں کا خطرہ دوبارہ سر اٹھا رہا ہے۔
