The International Human Rights Commission was founded by seven organizations during the conference of their leaders, held at London on 10th of December 1988, with the objective of creating the international network for protection of human rights. These organizations are: (WORLD SERVICE AUTHORITY (USA), JAIZA WELFARE TRUST INTERNATIONAL (PAKISTAN-UK), INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF OFFICIAL HUMAN RIG
HTS AGENCIES (USA), INTERNATIONAL LAW ASSOCIATION (UK), INTERNATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION (UK), NONVIOLENT PEACE FORCE (BELGIUM) and INTERNATIONAL PEACE RESEARCH ASSOCIATION (JAPAN). The International Human Rights Commission has its official and diplomatic representation in 44 countries, with more than 8500 members around the world. Until March 2013, over 2250 NGO's from different countries became members of the Commission. The Commission also provides its services to the United Nations, European Union, Organization of the Islamic Conference, and member states of UN according to the "UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS" passed by United Nations on 10th of December, 1948. Its role is to develop the culture of peace and religious and political tolerance around the world. The Republic of Guinea Bissau and Republic Of Côte D'Ivoire already have signed the "Instrument of Accession" with International Human Rights Commission. The IHRC HQ established its official relations with Lebanon, Arab Republic of Syria, Republic of Yemen and Islamic Republic of Pakistan, India, Kingdom of Morocco, Central African Republic, Liberia, Togo and these countries consider signing the Instrument of Accession with IHRC. The IHRC and Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have signed the request to establish formal relations between IHRC & OIC as Intergovernmental Organizations during the leaders' summit held at OIC Secretariat at Jeddah on 23rd June, 2012. The IHRC has entered into reorganization phase with the European Union through Transparency Registrar of European Commission. We have also submitted a request to the United Nations for granting the International Human Rights Commission the status of "Intergovernmental Organization" under Article 5 (regarding Treaties constituting international organizations, as well as Treaties adopted within an international organization), passed at Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties on 23 May 1969 in Vienna. The NGO Branch of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs accepted the International Human Rights Commission as IGO and listed it as such on its official portal. The Relief activities and assistance programs of IHRC run by the "IHRC Relief Fund Trust International" is recognized by the Government of Pakistan. We are in the process of obtaining the "Consultative Status" for IHRC-RFT from the United Nations. The International Human Rights Commission is constituted and established as an "International Organization" with full jurisdictional power, identity, and ability to exercise its functions and fulfill its objectives as may be necessary, inter alia, with the capacity to
a. Create and enter into contractual and other types of agreements;
c. Employ persons and accept seconded personnel on loan;
d. Institute and defend in legal proceedings;
e. Invest money and property of the Organization; and
f. Take any lawful or considered actions necessary to accomplish the objectives of the Organization. The legal “Headquarters” of the Organization shall be in United States of America, the “International Secretariat” shall be in Lebanon and the “World Chairman Secretariat” shall be in United Arab Emirates or in Pakistan (or any other county as the World Chairman thinks fit) unless the participating Members or the Supreme Council decide to relocate.
