To the Senate and People of Pavlov and to all Lords Spiritual and Temporal and all other Persons whatsoever to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting!
We were grieved to hear of the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey on 13 February. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the people of Turkey who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods as a result of this tragedy, one behalf of Our Christian brothers and sisters who have lost their lives in this tragedy, We offer the following prayer:
Almighty God, receive into Your dwelling place in Your Heavenly Kingdom the souls of Your departed servants who died in the recent earthquake in Turkey, and grant them comfort and eternal rest. Let Your mercy renew their souls and cover them with great grace, and let the earth in which they now rest be a soft covering for them. Remember, Master, their good deeds and grant them forgiveness of their sins, so that they may receive Your blessing in eternal life. We ask you, Lord, to give strength to their families and loved one sins and to all who have suffered in this terrible disaster. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. AMEN!
And on behalf of Our Muslim brothers and sisters, We offer the following prayer:
O Allah, forgive them and have mercy on them, heal and pardon them, honor their dwelling places, widen the entrance, and cleanse them with water, snow and ice, and purify them of sins as a white garment is cleansed of filth. O Allah, give them an abode that is better than their home, and a family better than their family. O Allah, admit them to Paradise, and protect them from the torment of the grave and the torment of the fire. O Allah the Most Merciful, forgive them and make their final destination Paradise.
In the memory of all who have died and in praise of those who labor to recover survivors and to rebuild, We will light seven candles daily on Our Imperial alter and make offerings and prayers on behalf of the victims to Saint Suliman the Great and to Saint Demetrios of Thessalonica form 15 February until 23 February 2023.
