The first salute is a tradition in which newly commissioned military officers give a silver dollar to the person from whom they receive the first salute of their career. 2LT Jonnathan Irizarry Rosario, had to pay for his first hand salute. The next ones, will be earned by hard work and taking care of the troops under his command. Congrats.
