I have completed my bachelor degree in Accounting & Marketing from Bethlehem University, then I pursued my Master degree in International Relations from Italy. After all, I was enthusiastic to l
earn more about the Holy Land, and the treasures inside our precious land that is full of heritage and historic places, thus I passionately indulged myself in this specialized study, and all throughout my studies, I was keen at knowing, learning every bit of detail about each site that I visited and studied it extensively. SaunterLand, I am sure you are intrigued at knowing what it means. This compounded word as articulated once by John Muir “During the Middle Ages people used to go on pilgrimages to the Holy Land, and of course they used to walk into the many villages scattered across the beautiful, vast and rich land. When they were asked where they were going, they would reply “ A la sainte terre” or to the Holy Land. Thus they became known as sainte-terre-ers or saunterers. Thus the mountains and valleys are our Holy Land, and we ought to saunter through them and not hike through them. “
It would be my pleasure to accompany you to an exciting journey full of treasures, showing you the history of this land, following the steps of our ancestors as well as wild animals, discovering green fields, camping in the desert, living the Bedouin life, feeling the essence of village life, climbing the peaks, to catch a magnificent view of our versatile landscape and of course, tasting traditional delicious Palestinian meals. Sono Shatha e sono una guida turistica da trekking. Vengo dalla cittadina di Beit-Sahour, nota per essere il luogo dove, secondo il Nuovo Testamento, un angelo annunciò la nascita di Gesù ai pastori. Parlo inglese e italiano, e anche un po 'di spagnolo e tedesco. Ho conseguito la laurea triennale in Contabilità e Marketing presso l'Università di Betlemme, quindi ho conseguito il Master in Relazioni internazionali in Italia. Dopo questi studi ero entusiasta di saperne di più sulla Terra Santa e sui tesori della nostra terra; così ho studiato per ottenere il diploma in guida turistica da trekking di comunità presso la Bethlehem University. Vorrei spiegare il significato di "SaunterLand". Come spiegato una volta da John Muir "Durante il Medioevo le persone andavano in pellegrinaggio in Terra Santa e naturalmente camminavano nei villaggi della Terra Santa. Quando veniva chiesto loro dove stavano andando, rispondevano "A la sainte terre”o “in Terra Santa”. Così divennero noti come “sainte-terre-ers” o “saunterers”. Così le montagne e le valli sono la nostra Terra Santa. Sono entusiasta di portarti in un viaggio pieno di tesori che mostrano la storia di questa terra, seguendo i passi degli animali selvatici, scoprendo campi verdi, accampandoci nel deserto, vivendo la vita beduina, sentendo l'essenza della vita del villaggio, scalando le vette e, naturalmente, assaggiando deliziosi piatti tradizionali palestinesi.
