نبذة عن بلدية الخليل
مدينة الخليل كغيرها من المدن الفلسطينية بدأت بإدارة ذاتية يشرف عليها حاكم اللواء (الحاكم التركي) ثم تحولت إلى إدارة ذاتية بنفسها (شبه مجلس محلي) حتى تم تعيين لجنة من قبل السلطة الحاكمة (الحكومة التركية) عام 1868 وتتابع بعدها الرؤساء (رؤساء اللجان أو المجالس البلدية) الذين جاء بعضهم عن طريق التعيين (لجان بلدية) وبعضهم عن طريق الانتخاب (رؤساء بلديات).
تعتبر بلدية الخليل أكبر
مؤسسات المدينة من حيث حجم الأيدي العاملة التي تشغلها وحجم الخدمات التى تقدمها والمشاريع والأعمال التى تقوم بها، لذا تعد بلدية الخليل المؤسسة والقوة الرئيسية المحركة لعملية نمو الخليل وتطورها.
تولي البلدية اهتماماً خاصاً بشؤون المدينة حيث يلتف أبناؤها حول مجلس بلديتهم بتكامل وتعاون منقطع النظير خاصةً أن المجلس البلدي جاء بالانتخاب وباختيار المواطنين. ويسعى المجلس البلدي ومؤسسات المدينة وبلديات المحافظة إلى مواصلة وترسيخ خدماتها ورفع المعاناة عن السكان.
تأثرت بلدية الخليل بالظروف السياسية الصعبة التى مرت بها على مر العقود وما زالت تعاني حتى يومنا هذا، وبالرغم من الصعوبات والتحديات التي تواجهها إلا أنها واصلت نموها بشكلٍ سريع، وقد انعكس هذا النمو على تطور مدينة الخليل التي انتقلت نقلة نوعية بالازدهار والتطور وبمستوى الخدمات وتطوير البنية التحتية للمدينة، ويبلغ حجم الكادر الوظيفي فى البلدية الآن 1500 موظف.
تقدم بلدية الخليل خدمات مميزة في عدة قطاعات أهمها الكهرباء، المياه، الطرق والصرف الصحي، إضافة إلى خدمات متنوعةهامة للمدينة مثل الحفاظ على البيئة والأبنية والخدمات الموجهة للقطاع الصناعي والزراعي، كما تقدم بلدية الخليل خدمات ثقافية ورياضية متنوعة من خلال إنشاء وتشغيل المراكز المتخصصة التى تُعنى بكافة فئات المجتمع.
تفخر بلدية الخليل بالمستوى الذي وصلت إليه اليوم وبحجم الإنجازات الكبيرة التى تمكنت من الوصول لها فى الوقت الذي تتطلع فيه إلى المزيد من التقدم والعطاء وتطوير للمدينة لتصل إلى المستوى الذي يليق بسمعتها وسكانها.

Hebron Municipality is the largest institution in the city of Hebron in terms of operational labor force, number of services offered, and projects carried out. Thus the Municipality is the backbone of development in the city and the engine that keeps it going
The Municipality dedicates all its time to its affairs and has the support and unmatched cooperation of civilians, especially now that Mr. Abu Sneineh and his colleagues, members of the municipal council, the institutions in the city of Hebron, and the various municipalities of Hebron District are constantly seeking to upgrade public services and respond to the needs of citizens
Hebron Municipality was impacted by the current volatile political circumstances. Consequently, the city has recently demonstrated signs of rapid development in public services and infrastructure. There are approximately 1,200 employees who currently work for the municipality
The Municipality offers a variety of services, the most important of which are electricity, water, roads, sanitation, the environment and construction. In addition, the Municipality provides services to the industrial and agricultural sectors, as well as cultural and sports services to all sectors of society
