➡️ As is observed this week, we share the experience of SGT Diana Nica, member of the 🇷🇴Romanian Armed Forces on how faith shapes the life of a soldier on a mission

“I am from Romania, I am orthodox. Faith to me represents both religion and spirituality, manifested as liaison amongst all spheres of activity in my life, acting as a pivotal drive meant to enhance the quality of human relationships, while working on achieving one of my main personal goals – which is thriving to maintain a higher level of self-awareness and thus working on a daily basis to become a better person.

Faith is the source of all the strength I need to find within to overcome all adversity.

To me as a female in the military and also as a single mother, life has not always been easy and especially being on a long term deployment, I managed to overcome challenging situations, both psychologically and emotionally speaking, so I can strongly state it is mainly due to our faith, me and my family were able to fulfill our responsibilities and maintain healthy normal relationships in a positive manner.

Undoubtedly, had I not relied on to my own set of personal beliefs, all thoroughly rooted in my faith, I would not have successfully accomplished most of my achievements, since I strongly believe that without the unwavering trust in the higher-self (whatever people choose to call it as a deity), our goals and desires are mere illusions, unless we truly believe that everything will unfold in a beneficial way.” - SGT Diana Nica, Romania, NHQSa J4 Logistics NCO.
