1. Contexte de la visite

Dans le cadre de ses activités humanitaires, l’organisation Inkuruzabato a effectué une visite officielle trimestrielle au service de pédiatrie de l’Hôpital de Nyamata. Cette mission a été réalisée par l’équipe bénévole afin d’assurer le suivi des bénéficiaires du programme Girubuntunawe.

2. Profil du bénéficiaire
• Nom : Épiphanie
• Âge : 11 ans
• Situation familiale : Aînée d’une fratrie de 4 enfants
• État de santé : Souffre de pathologies chroniques multiples depuis l’âge de 4 ans
• Hospitalisation : Continue depuis plus de 4 ans

Épiphanie vit pratiquement à l’hôpital en raison de la gravité et de la chronicité de son état.

3. Situation familiale et sociale

La mère d’Épiphanie a dû abandonner toutes ses activités pour rester aux côtés de son enfant depuis plusieurs années. Cette situation a fortement fragilisé la famille, tant sur le plan économique que social.

Lors de cette visite, un contact téléphonique a également été établi avec la mère afin de lui apporter un soutien moral et des encouragements dans cette épreuve prolongée.

4. Observations de l’équipe
• L’enfant nécessite un suivi médical constant et spécialisé
• La présence continue de la mère est essentielle mais engendre une précarité importante
• Les besoins psychosociaux et matériels restent élevés
• La situation s’inscrit dans une vulnérabilité prolongée nécessitant une attention continue
