From the office of Registrar of Foreign Investment (FID), we share our sincere sympathy to those investors that have been negatively affected by the recent looting and burning of properties in Honiara. We all understand that this political crisis is somehow being capitalized by so called opportunist who caused such damage and destruction to your respective businesses.

It is a very regrettable moment since such happenings do not reflect the office’s goal to achieve economic development activities, income earning, creating employment opportunities, production of goods, market access and making sure to maintain peaceful business environment in the country.

We strongly condemn such unwelcoming behaviors towards the business households / community and may the relevant laws deal with those perpetrators accordingly. We hope you recover and rebuild again.
