FetAfrik 2026 concluded in spectacular fashion on 29th May 2026 at Stad Popiler, transforming the venue into a vibrant showcase of African culture, heritage and unity.
The event brought the African diaspora in Seychelles to life through a colourful display of music, dance, fashion, cuisine and cultural expression. Attendees were treated to an immersive experience celebrating the diversity and richness of African traditions, while highlighting the deep cultural connections that exist between Seychelles and the African continent.
Participating countries included Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Madagascar, Togo and Seychelles, each proudly presenting elements of their unique cultural identity through performances, traditional attire, culinary displays and artistic showcases.
Throughout the night, the atmosphere was filled with energy and excitement as performers captivated audiences with dynamic musical performances, traditional dances and rhythmic expressions that reflected the spirit and diversity of Africa.
The vibrant costumes, cultural displays and authentic African cuisine further enriched the experience, offering festival-goers a journey through the sights, sounds and flavours of the continent.
Organised by Tanm Tanm Event in collaboration with the Creative Seychelles Agency (CSA), the event successfully created a platform for cultural exchange, community engagement and celebration of shared heritage. It also reinforced the importance of preserving and promoting African cultural traditions while fostering greater understanding and appreciation among the wider Seychellois community.
FetAfrik continues to serve as a powerful reminder of the African roots that form an integral part of Seychelles identity. Beyond the festivities, the event strengthened bonds between communities, celebrated cultural diversity and showcased the invaluable contribution of the African diaspora to the social and cultural fabric of the nation.
