High Commissioner was delighted to meet Mr. Rudy Sinon, from the Seychelles Revenue Commission. He will travel to India to attend a course on AI- Driven Data Analytics and Financial Modelling in Government Sector at the renowned Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management, Faridabad from 03 August – 14 August, 2026.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s recent and historic State Visit to Seychelles laid emphasis on innovation, technology and cybersecurity, AI as new frontiers in our longstanding and people-centric partnership.

High Commissioner was happy to note that our flagship training programme ITEC engages the professionals of Seychelles notably in the above areas.

The High Commission of India congratulates the 24 Seychellois teachers from the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development who will attend a customised ITEC training course - “India’s Vocational Education & Training Landscape: Developmental Learning” - at the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Noida.

India is committed to meet the capacity building needs of Seychelles, especially in the key area of vocational training.

Teachers are builders of nations. Impressed, but not surprised that a majority of this cohort are women teachers.

We wish them a fruitful and memorable experience in India.

An Agreement on planning, design, procurement and project management for affordable housing has been signed between the Government of Seychelles and NBCC (India) Limited for the first phase of Île Aurore Housing Development Project.

The project is expected to deliver 1,008 affordable homes for Seychellois families.

This project is to be funded under USD 125 million Rupee-denominated Line of Credit announced during State Visit of President Dr. Patrick Herminie to India. The Umbrella LoC Agreement for USD 125 million was signed during the State Visit of PM Narendra Modi to Seychelles in June 2026.

This milestone reflects the people-centric and result-oriented approach of the longstanding bilateral partnership between India and Seychelles.
