Inspired to engage with young people stepping up and being part of the conversation and advocates on road safety.

Real change starts with awareness, responsibility, and young people leading by example in their communities.

Proud to support initiatives like this that empower youth to help build a safer Seychelles for everyone.

It was a pleasure to attend the School of Advanced Level Studies (SALS) Graduation Ceremony today and celebrate the achievements of the graduates as they reached this important milestone.

As an alumni of the school myself, it was especially meaningful to be back and witness a new generation preparing to take on their next chapter.

The sense of possibility in the room was inspiring, and the school’s motto, “Towards Greater Heights,” is a reminder to keep aiming higher, challenging yourself, and believing in your potential.

Big congratulations to all graduates. Your journey is only just beginning — keep striving, keep growing, and keep making Seychelles proud! 👏🏾

Really inspiring to attend the IMO Women in Maritime Day event today to commemorate this year's theme “From Policy to Practice: Advancing Gender Equality for Maritime Excellence.”

The stories shared by the panellists were powerful, honest, and seriously inspiring — showing how careers can evolve in unexpected ways through resilience, adaptability, and simply being willing to take opportunities and get hands-on. From the Coast Guard to law, STEM, aquaculture, rescue diving, education, and maritime administration — the journeys were incredible.

What stood out most was the resilience, adaptability, and confidence these women brought to the conversation, while also openly addressing challenges that still persist, including balancing responsibilities, gender bias, and sexual harassment in the workplace.

A powerful reminder of the importance of continuing to create spaces where women feel supported, empowered, and encouraged to lead in every sector.

Really excited to officially kick off the very first session of the Youth Empowerment Council (YEC) today. 🇸🇨💪🏾

A seat at the table for youth to bring forward ideas, challenges, and solutions that matter to them and their communities.

We had some really good discussions today around leadership, governance, youth priorities, and the realities of decision-making and policy. One thing I reminded members is that having a voice also comes with responsibility — and that real impact comes from understanding systems and being able to propose meaningful solutions, not just pointing out problems.

Congratulations as well to the newly elected leadership of the YEC:
🔹 Fabian Jeanne — Chairperson
🔹 Chirelle Lau Tee — Vice-Chairperson
🔹 Camilla Cupidon — Secretary

Looking forward to seeing the ideas, energy, and leadership this group will bring over the course of its mandate. Let’s make it count.

Really great to attend the NIHSS Graduation Ceremony today alongside President Herminie to celebrate the achievements of 66 graduates reaching this important milestone.

The energy, pride, and sense of purpose in the room were incredible. The school’s motto, “Learning to Care,” came through strongly throughout the ceremony — reminding us how important compassion, empathy, and service are in both the health and social sectors.

Healthcare professionals and social workers play such an important role in our communities, and it’s inspiring to see a new generation ready to step forward with passion and purpose.

Big congratulations to all graduates — your journey is only just beginning. Keep growing, keep caring, and keep making Seychelles proud! 👏🏾

I had a lovely drop-in session with the Athletes in Action Volleyball team today to hear about their experience during the AIA Seychelles Women’s Volleyball Tour 2026.

It was a real proud moment hearing them speak so positively about the talent, skill level, and potential of both our established teams and the young players who came out to learn, compete, and be part of the programme.

They also spoke highly about the amazing hospitality, energy, and community spirit they experienced throughout their stay in Seychelles.

Well done to the MYS and NSC team for the support provided. A big thank you to Athletes in Action, the Beach Volleyball Club, and all partners and volunteers who helped bring this experience to life.

Beyond the volleyball, genuine friendships and connections were created — and it’s great to know many are already looking forward to staying connected with Seychelles and the relationship formed.
