Online games can help young people learn, connect and have fun – so why not seniors too? 🎮

At our Active Ageing Centres, we’ve been exploring more digital ways for seniors to stay active and engaged. From picking up new skills to enjoying light movement, these activities offer something a little different while making technology feel less intimidating.

But for many of our seniors, the best part is still the people they meet along the way. 👋🏻 Through shared activities, they get to laugh together, discover common interests and form new friendships.

Swipe to see what our seniors have to say about some of these new initiatives! 💻

This World Senior Citizen's Day, we celebrate the different ways seniors can stay curious, connected and engaged with the community. 💖

Some things are easier to spot than others. 👀

Finding Meccha might only take a few seconds. But the challenges that some children and youth face on their education journey may go unnoticed.

Some need a place where they can discover their strengths and pursue their interests. Others need financial support to continue learning. And sometimes, what makes the biggest difference is simply having someone who believes in them.

At Allkin, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover their full potential. That's why we journey with children and youths every step of the way - providing the support, opportunities and encouragement they need to achieve their goals.

Because when the right help comes at the right time, doors open to possibilities that once felt out of reach.

Help us bridge the education gap so more children and youths can keep learning, growing and pursuing their dreams.

At 89, Mdm Kwok discovered a new hobby she never expected to love.

After joining Allkin's Active Ageing Centre @ Sengkang 182 last year, she picked up disc golf alongside her daughter, Mdm Chan. This year marked their second time participating in the Senior National Games, and they were delighted to have made it through to Finals Day.

For them, the Games were never just about winning. They were about spending quality time with each other, staying active, and enjoying the experience alongside friends and neighbours. 💛

Despite living with osteoporosis and age-related macular degeneration, which affects her vision, Mdm Kwok stepped up to every throw with remarkable composure and precision. As the final player on her team, every successful throw was met with cheers from her teammates, who celebrated each point with genuine excitement.

Yet no one was prouder than Mdm Chan. Watching from the sidelines, she cheered her mother on through every throw before rushing over to embrace her at the end of the game.

What began as a new hobby has become something they both treasure – not just for the chance to stay active, but for the memories they've created together. It's a journey they hope to continue for many more years to come!

As we celebrate , this year’s theme “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!” reminds us that strengthening our nation starts from within – by coming together and caring for one another. 🇸🇬

But this can’t happen overnight. It requires each of us to play a part. With every small, thought-filled action, we sow the seeds of lasting friendship and build a community of support.

Every cheer, every throw and every smile at the Senior National Games 2026 was a celebration of something bigger than sport. ❤️

This year, seniors from our Active Ageing Centres came together to take part in the Senior National Games, with several teams from across our centres earning their place on Finals Day after weeks of training and preparation.

Qualifying for the finals was an incredible achievement. But what made the journey truly meaningful was everything that happened before they stepped onto the competition floor.

Every training session became an opportunity to stay active, try new strategies and grow together. Along the way, our seniors built confidence, formed meaningful friendships and found joy in being part of a community that celebrates one another's successes.

We'd like to give special mention to our seniors from Allkin's Active Ageing Centre @ Ang Mo Kio 420, who emerged as the Champions of the Ladder Toss competition - a wonderful milestone that reflects the dedication they showed throughout their journey.

To all our seniors who trained, competed and cheered one another on, thank you for reminding us that the greatest victories aren't always measured by medals, but by the friendships built, the confidence gained and the joy of sharing the journey together. 🙌

One more chance to make a difference together. ❤️

Over the weekend, our community showed us what is possible when people came together for good. While the final point may have been played, the impact doesn't end here.

With one final gift, you can help keep that spirit of community alive and enable Allkin to continue supporting vulnerable individuals and families long after the event.

Every act of generosity, no matter the amount, helps build stronger communities where people feel supported, connected and empowered.

Our final rally starts with you.

The World Cup may be over, but our seniors are still training hard for soccer – specifically, drone soccer! ⚽🚁 Teams from Allkin Active Ageing Centres @ Sin Ming 25 and Pasir Ris 476A will be competing in the Silver Drone Soccer Tournament 2026, Singapore's inaugural national drone soccer tournament for seniors.

Since last year, our seniors have been learning far more than how to fly drones. Drone soccer has shown that active ageing is about more than staying physically, mentally, and socially active; it's also about embracing new challenges and lifting one another up. Through regular training, the seniors have strengthened their hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and communication skills, while building confidence, resilience, and lasting friendships.

While the sessions began as trainer-led, the seniors have since stepped up to lead – organising weekly training, maintaining equipment, developing game strategies, and mentoring their peers. Together, they've created a supportive community where everyone can learn and contribute.

If you'd like to cheer on our teams, catch them in action at Compass One (Level 2 Atrium) from 30 July to 1 August 2026. We wish our seniors all the best! 💙

The Silver Drone Soccer Tournament 2026, brought to you by FUN! Fund, is organised by Jia Ying Community Services, in partnership with the Association of Drone Soccer Singapore, Agency for Integrated Care, Community Foundation of Singapore, and enabled by FUN! Fund donors.
