On 5 August, our students enjoyed a special National Day musical showcase featuring beloved favorites like Shine Your Light, The Road Ahead, and Sparkle.

A huge thank you to The Island Voices for lighting up our stage! The award-winning 6-member vocal ensemble wowed us with incredible all-vocal arrangements of iconic local tunes using just their voices—from soprano harmonies to live vocal percussion. 🎤🎶

A huge congratulations to our amazing North Stars for their outstanding performance at the Malay Language Scrabble Competition 2026 (Sahibba Huru Hara)! 🌟Competing against strong teams from schools across Singapore, our students showcased their impressive vocabulary, quick thinking and teamwork.

Our students took on the NUS Geography Challenge, an annual competition organised by the NUS Department of Geography and NUS Geographical Society, with the support of the Ministry of Education.

Beyond testing their geographical knowledge, the challenge encourages students to ignite their passion for Geography, explore dynamic world issues, and discover how Geography can empower them to respond to the challenges around us. 🌏

THRIVE Day 2026
On 20 May 2026, our CVSS Library Club members had an enriching time at THRIVE Day 2026, organised by Greendale Secondary School.
Through a series of exciting book-centred challenges – including the Book Cover Drawing, Poetry Writing, Page to Stage Improvisation and Idioms Challenge – our students had the opportunity to unleash their creativity, develop their imagination and strengthen their communication and collaboration skills.

A morning of pride, reflection and celebration.
As we marked Singapore’s 61st year of independence and the 60th anniversary of the National Pledge, our Uniformed Groups opened the day with a stirring Observance Ceremony. This was followed by a heartfelt concert segment, presented by our students from Drama, Choir, Student Leaders and student performers, which took North Stars on a journey from pre-independence Singapore to the defining moment of independence in 1965. Through drama, music and inspiring performances, we honoured our past and looked ahead to the future.

🎤📚 CVSS’s Got Talent cm Mother Tongue Fortnight Launch 🎉

This special edition of CVSS’s Got Talent showcased the amazing creativity, confidence and talents of our North Stars. Our Secondary 1 Higher Mother Tongue students, Xu Ziyang (1-3) and Haifa Humairah (1-7), shared excerpts from the original stories they transformed into e-books, showing how creativity and AI can bring ideas to life. 📖 The excitement continued with a special singing video by Justoh Toh (2-6), Choong Guo Yang (2-8) and Kahlan Goh (2-7), before Qistina (3-1), Aqil (3-2) and Rafiqi (3-2) wowed the audience with a live Malay song performance. 🎶 From storytelling to music, our North Stars reminded us that language is more than words. It is a way to create, connect and shine. 🌟

Three months of dedication, curiosity, and perseverance culminated in an outstanding performance by our North Stars at the Singapore Round of the World Scholar’s Cup 2026! 🌍📚

From exploring science and technology, history and politics, to delving into art, pop culture, collaborative writing, and debating, our Secondary 2 to 4 scholars embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and determination.

Their hard work paid off with an incredible achievement of 52 Gold Medals, 95 Silver Medals, and a Team Trophy. 🏅🏆 Building on this success, one of our senior teams went on to represent the school at the Global Round in Kuala Lumpur, where they earned an impressive 10 medals.
