Bishan NPC's officers had a great time engaging children and families at the Star Learners Family Day!

We shared crime prevention tips and introducing the different roles and units within the Singapore Police Force. (Hint: we do much more than just catching thieves 😉)

A special thank you to our Youth COP leaders from Whitley Secondary School for volunteering alongside us and contributing to the success of the event. 👏💙

⚠️CDC VOUCHER SCAM ALERT

Singaporean households will receive $500 in CDC vouchers from 11 June 2026.

Be wary that scammers are spreading fake CDC voucher ads, messages and emails with phishing links or QR codes that steal your personal and banking information.

❌ You will never need to share your SingPass or bank login details to claim your vouchers.

✅ Claim your CDC vouchers safely at go.gov.sg/cdcv

✅ No smartphone or SingPass? Visit your nearest Community Club for assistance.

✅ Say NO to unlicensed moneylenders and their illegal activities.
✅ Always verify before sending money or responding to unexpected calls, messages, or requests.
✅ Keep yourself updated on the latest scam trends and crime prevention advisories.

Remember: Scammers and illegal moneylenders are constantly changing their tactics. A few extra moments to Stop, Check, and Verify can protect you from becoming the next victim.

Looking for BTS 'Arirang' World Tour tickets? Watch out for scammers!🎫 😦

Since 1 June 2026, more than 62 cases have been reported with total losses of at least $68,200. Most of the victims have been scammed on X.

✅ Only buy from authorised platforms like Ticketmaster.

✅ Those with resold tickets will not be allowed into the venue and will be turned away from the concert with no refund.

✅ Ticketmaster will never issue the tickets via emails.

The 'Investment Guru' has left the chat — with your money. 💸

Scammers have lured victims into fake investment chat groups by pretending to be investment experts and offering “free investment lessons”.

Victims are enticed to “invest” through false promises of attractive returns and fabricated testimonials from purported chat group members.

Remember:
✅ Only invest through entities or persons regulated by MAS
⚠️ Always verify who you are dealing with before transferring any money

Bishan NPC had a fun and interactive Police Pal storytelling session with our young residents on 15th May at the Bishan Public Library. We hope these children could bring our message of safety and crime prevention with them as they grow.

A big thanks to our young and enthusiastic readers and parents who joined us in learning how to stay safe in our community.

More than $5.4 million has been lost to Government Officials Impersonation Scams (GOIS) since April 2026. 😱

Scammers, impersonating Government officials, have been accusing victims of being involved in criminal activities.

They have asked victims to make cash transfers via ATMs to ‘safety accounts’ for investigation purposes.

Remember!

‼️ Government officials, including the Police, will NEVER ask you to transfer money or hand over valuables (e.g. cash, gold, cryptocurrency) over a phone call.
