Scam Alert: Phishing Text Messages Impersonating Courier Companies

Scammers are sending text messages or emails impersonating courier companies like NinjaVan and J&T Express, claiming your parcel could not be delivered. They trick you into clicking a phishing link that leads to a fake courier website, where you are asked to pay a small "re-delivery fee" (as low as $0.06) and enter your card details.

😲 At least 43 cases have been reported since 24 June 2026, with losses exceeding $259,000.

What you should do:

✅ Access the courier’s official website or app directly instead of clicking unsolicited links

✅ Never enter your card details through links in unsolicited messages

❌ Ask you to hand over gold or valuables

Have you received a call from someone claiming to be from the SPF or MAS?

🚩 They accuse you of crimes like money laundering or other suspicious activities.

🚩 They transfer your call to someone claiming to be from the Police.

🚩 They tell you to transfer your money to a "safety" account for investigations.
