What an incredible turnout for our National Day Reception in Auckland! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, including those who travelled from near and far to be part of the celebrations. It was a wonderful reminder of what it means to be One United People, wherever we may be. Let us “Majulah Singapura – Go Beyond”!! ❤️🇸🇬

High Commissioner William Tan attended the Singapore-NZ Central Agencies Heads’ Dialogue hosted by NZ in Auckland from 29-30 July. The Singapore delegation was led by Head of Civil Service Chan Heng Kee. The annual dialogue is a platform for public service leaders from both our countries to learn from one another’s experience in delivering better public services to our citizens, including harnessing technology and AI as accelerators to enhance service delivery.

DPM and Minister for Trade & Industry Gan Kim Yong attended the Future in Investment and Trade (FIT) Partnership Ministerial Meeting in Auckland from 16-17 July. FIT Partnership has built strong momentum since its launch and inaugural meeting in Singapore in November 2025. The Partnership welcomed Korea, Peru and Thailand as new members, bringing the membership to 19 countries. The growing support for the Partnership reflects a positive trade agenda that keeps markets open, resilient and connected. New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates are the original four convenors.

Today, on the sidelines of the Future in
Investment and Trade Partnership ministerial meeting in Auckland, DPM Gan exchanged third party notes with NZ Trade Minister Todd McClay bringing into effect the Agreement on Trade in Essential Supplies. This initiative attests to the strength of our bilateral relationship. It reflects our shared instinct to push boundaries, learn from past crises, and prepare ahead of the next one. In an uncertain world, this sends a clear message that trusted
partners stand by one another when it matters.

In a collaboration with Canterbury Museum, the National Museum of Singapore is exhibiting its prized collection of water colour paintings from its William Farquhar Collection in its Tails from the Coasts: Nature Stories of Singapore exhibition. The exhibition will run from June to October. New Zealand is the furthest destination which this collection has traveled to from the shores of Singapore, and only the second country to host it outside of Singapore. This is a significant landmark reflecting the richness of our people-to-people and cultural ties. We look forward to further exchanges in the years ahead.
