Earlier this week, our Chief of Navy RADM Sean Wat attended the 20th ASEAN Navy Chiefs’ Meeting (ANCM) in Bangkok, Thailand, where he met with his counterparts from across ASEAN.

Under the theme “One ASEAN, One Maritime Vision: Naval Cooperation for Maritime Security, Prosperity, and Sustainability in ASEAN”, the navy chiefs discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and build greater trust and understanding among the ASEAN navies.

To enhance cooperation further, the ASEAN navies will also be coming together for the 2nd ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise (AIME) in September 2026.

Yesterday, our specialist cadets from the Naval Diving Unit (NDU) and Naval Military Expert Institute (NMI) marked their successful completion of the 68th Specialist Cadet Course and received their 3SG ranks.

Congratulations to our newly-minted specialists! 👏
Over 22 weeks of rigorous training, they demonstrated grit and perseverance, overcoming both personal and professional challenges.

Bravo Zulu to LTC P Skandan for completing the Advanced Command and Staff Course (ACSC) 29 at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. He also graduated among the top 10% of the cohort of 252 course members.

During the course, he gained valuable perspectives from officers across different services, nations and operational backgrounds, while contributing Singapore’s perspectives to discussions on contemporary security and defence challenges.
