We are the young members and volunteers of the Workers' Party, Singapore. Like us to remain connected to the activities, events, personalities and happenings of the Workers' Party and its Youth Wing. The Young Wing runs three kinds of outreach events to bring members, volunteers and participants together to:
(CULTURE) discover our history, heritage and way of life;
(LEARNING) discuss new ideas, s

olutions and ways of thinking;
(SERVICE) develop programmes to protect and uplift the vulnerable in society. The WPYW regularly participates in discussion forums, panels, dialogues and events with student groups and clubs. We are the generation being encouraged to have children 👶

But exists a gap between aspirations and reality. It is not one of desire, but enabling conditions—time, money, and space.

Per-child childcare leave. Flexible work as a right. Real support for caregivers. These 16 Bingo squares are proposals our MPs have raised in Parliament.

Good ideas rarely have one author, and Singaporeans are better off when both sides keep making the case. We welcome what gets picked up, and will continue to advocate for the rest of the list 🔨

At the National Day Rally tomorrow, we will hear more about plans to better support families and help them flourish 🌻

In anticipation of Youth Day, we invited our youths to pick up the phone and leave a message for their younger selves 📞

If I had a few more minutes on the line, I would also add this: choose what's right over what's easy. And don't be in such a rush toward the future that you forget to be here now — not everything that counts can be counted.

So this weekend, I hope we'll all step away from our screens and enjoy the offline world a little. Do something that brings us joy. Be grateful for how far we've come 🩵
