This is more than a speech.
This is Kado in her element—leading, representing, inspiring, and using my voice to create impact.

In this featured moment, Kado Nash stood before hundreds of Sierra Leoneans, delivering a message that is both timely and timeless.
She spoke on the importance of love, unity, and patriotism, calling on our people to support one another and to rise above division.
With sincerity and boldness, She challenged individuals and leaders alike to remain true to themselves, to uphold integrity, and to ensure that any support or resources entrusted to them are used for their rightful purpose, not for personal gain.

It was not just a speech, it was a moment of awakening.
One that inspired, challenged, and left a lasting impression on everyone present.

From the very beginning, Kado has always carried a presence that could not be ignored.
Precocious, yes—but more than that, I was ahead of my generation in confidence, intellect, and impact. While many children were still learning how to find their voice, I had already discovered mine, and more importantly, how to use it for others. Even then, I spoke with a clarity and conviction that made adults pause, listen, and reflect.

Today, that same voice has only grown stronger, more refined, and more influential.
As an adult, Kadiatu commands attention not by force, but by purpose, drawing people in with authenticity, depth, and an unwavering commitment to truth. When I speaks, rooms don’t just hear me, they feel me.
My ability to connect, to inspire, and to move people into reflection and action remains one of my greatest strengths.

My advocacy is not accidental, it is deeply rooted in purpose.
It has always been more than expression; it is a calling.
The conviction I carried is natural, almost instinctive, and the impact of my words continues to resonate wherever I go.

This is who Kado is. comfortable in my voice, confident before any audience, and committed to using my platform to advocate, to inspire, and to create meaningful impact.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I (Kado) proudly present my speech delivered during the first Youth Parliamentary Sitting at the Wall of Parliament in 2002 — a speech centered on education reform, girl-child empowerment, youth development, national unity, and the transformative role of sports in society."

HON. KADIATU KAMARA:
Mr. Speaker, Honourable Members of Parliament, I stand to second this all-important motion presented by the Chairman of the Committee of Youth, Education and Sports, Hon. Malan S’dikie.

You will all agree with me that the previous educational system was not only geared towards the Grammar School type of education, characterized by a huge increase in dropout rates and educational wastage, but also one that could not address the present socio-economic and political challenges facing our society. The situation became even worse with the advent of the RUF rebel incursions (which lasted for nearly 11 years), which turned the whole educational structural functionalism upside down and backwards.

Honourable Members, I think we need to take a close look at the present educational system, the 6-3-3-4 system of education. Quite apart from the facts presented by Honourable Malan S’dikie, it is my conviction that the 6-3-3-4 system of education addresses the question of the girl child and the reintroduction of native languages into the national school curriculum.
Before now, educational dropout rates and wastage greatly affected the girl child, not to talk about religious and traditional norms, all of which succeeded in depriving the girl child of education. The only alternatives open to many were prostitution, drug addiction, crime, unprepared marital life, and a host of other problems.

It is therefore necessary to make it clear that the 6-3-3-4 system of education takes into account the full interest of the girl child. As such, today, most of our sisters who had been deprived of education have made a U-turn and entered educational institutions for vocational, technical, computer and other formal studies.

Mr. Speaker, Honourable Members, the 6-3-3-4 system of education, I believe, focuses on the promotion of our vernacular languages. Languages like Temne, Limba, Mende, etc., are studied in many traditional institutions.

Honourable Members, I believe that the most important benefit of such a policy is to minimize negative tribal tensions because each ethnic group will tend to look at the other with respect and understanding. Apart from that, it makes communication easier.
For example, a Mende man can easily live in Temne land as long as he speaks Temne, and this principle applies to all who speak other languages. This will develop a stronger desire for nationalism and patriotism.

Let me briefly touch on the status of sports generally. We are quite aware that sports are sometimes characterized by hooliganism, drug addiction, bad dress codes, etc. However, because of its benefits, we should encourage our children to actively participate in sports with a sense of discipline and positive culture.

After all, sports are geared towards developing the child’s psychomotor, affective and cognitive domains.
It is my strong conviction, therefore, to call on my honourable colleagues to encourage this aspect in the learning process because it can also assist students who are not academically strong to learn skills that can help them make ends meet.

Honourable Members, I strongly believe that this honourable House should approve the report on the current status of the 6-3-3-4 system of education and the status of sports in the country.

I thank you.

When party loyalists start exposing the failures of their own government, the nation must pay attention.

By Kadiatu Kamara (Kado)

The recent interview by the former chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Holland branch on Liberty online TV has once again exposed the growing cracks within the ruling party and the deep frustration felt by many Sierra Leoneans both at home and abroad. What made the interview particularly significant was not merely the issues raised, but the fact that these concerns came from a long-standing and committed stakeholder of the SLPP itself.

For years, ordinary Sierra Leoneans have complained about economic hardship, unemployment, hunger, poor infrastructure, rising cost of living, and the widening disconnect between the promises of government and the realities faced by citizens. Opposition voices have consistently highlighted these issues, but government supporters often dismissed such criticisms as political propaganda.
However, when a senior member from within the ruling establishment openly acknowledges the same concerns, it becomes difficult to deny the reality confronting the nation.

The former chairman highlighted several critical issues: the inability of the government to provide meaningful development, the deplorable condition of roads across the country, the lack of employment opportunities for young people, widespread suffering, and growing public dissatisfaction.
These are not abstract political talking points; they are the everyday experiences of many Sierra Leoneans struggling to survive under worsening economic conditions.

One of the most troubling aspects of his statement was the allegation of intimidation and inflammatory political rhetoric.
Democracy thrives on tolerance, competition of ideas, and respect for political diversity.

True leadership is not defined by titles alone, but by service, consistency, sacrifice, and the ability to stand firm for the people at every critical moment.
I have walked this journey with purpose, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our collective vision.

Over the years, I have served faithfully.
I have shown up when it mattered most, engaged with our people, listened to their concerns, and represented our shared ideals with dignity and responsibility.
Through these experiences, I have come to fully understand the enormous responsibility that comes with being the voice of the people, especially within the Diaspora community, where connection, communication, clarity, and credibility remain essential pillars of effective leadership.

Today, this moment demands more than ordinary promises and routine speeches.
It calls for strategic communication, bold and visible representation, and a unifying voice capable of projecting the true image, strength, and vision of our party across every border and every platform.
Our members in the Diaspora deserve leadership that is proactive, accessible, transparent, and impactful.
Leadership that not only informs, but also inspires participation, strengthens unity, and bridges the gap between the party and its supporters around the world.
I am not stepping forward because of ambition alone.
I am stepping forward because I am prepared for the task ahead.
I bring experience, commitment, passion, and the capacity to deliver meaningful results.
I understand the importance of building a communication structure that keeps every member informed, engaged, represented, and valued regardless of location.

Together, we can build a stronger and more effective communication system one that amplifies our message, promotes inclusiveness, strengthens solidarity, and inspires confidence in the future of our movement.

A country that neglects its teachers is silently destroying its future. Education cannot thrive on promises while teachers suffer in silence

By Kadiatu Kamara (Kado)

Education is not built on slogans and political declarations alone; it is sustained through commitment, consistency, and investment in the people who stand at the center of the classroom every single day, our teachers. It is therefore deeply concerning that school subsidies for the second and third terms remain unpaid despite repeated promises by the government. According to the Teachers Union, the last time subsidies were fully paid was in 2018. This reality raises serious questions about the government’s commitment to its much-publicized flagship education program.

Teachers in Sierra Leone are already operating under extremely difficult conditions. Many are poorly paid, salaries are often delayed, and yet they continue to carry the enormous responsibility of shaping the future of the nation. School subsidies are not luxuries; they are essential support systems that help schools function effectively. Delays in these payments place unbearable pressure on teachers and school administrators, many of whom are forced to use personal resources to keep schools running. Some struggle to provide teaching materials, maintain classrooms, or even meet their own basic family needs.

The continuous delay in subsidies directly affects the quality of education. A frustrated and financially burdened teacher cannot be expected to deliver at full capacity. Low morale among teachers contributes to poor learning environments, irregular academic activities, strikes, reduced productivity, and declining educational standards. Students, especially those from vulnerable communities, become the greatest victims of a broken system where education is treated as a political slogan rather than a national priority.

A nation that truly values development must prioritize education beyond speeches and campaigns. Leaders have a moral and national responsibility to ensure that teachers are respected, motivated, and paid on time. Investment in education is an investment in national growth, stability, and future leadership. Governments come and go, but the consequences of neglecting education remain with generations.

If education is truly the flagship program of this government, then teachers must not be left struggling in silence while promises remain unfulfilled. The future of our children and the progress of our nation depend on the decisions we make today regarding education.

Throwback to 2019, when I had the honour of interviewing the then Minister of Tourism, Memunatu Pratt, during a delegation visit to Canada aimed at fostering partnerships and strengthening the tourism sector in Sierra Leone. Moments like these are a* *reminder that public relations is not just about holding a title; it is about competence professionalism, communication mastery, and the ability to represent institutions with credibility and excellence

For decades, I have built experience behind the microphone, engaging audiences, conducting high-level interviews, and representing important conversations with confidence and professionalism.*PR is not a space for trial and error, it is a sensitive office that demands individuals whose academic background, communication expertise, and unwavering commitment align with the responsibility of the role

I am not only comfortable with the microphone; I am defined by it. My journey in Mass Communication, combined with years of practical experience in media engagement, public speaking, leadership, and advocacy, has shaped me into a competent and capable professional with unmatched dedication to service and representation.

Public Relations offices should be entrusted to professionals who understand the power of communication, the importance of public image, and the responsibility that comes with being the voice of an institution. Excellence, credibility, and competence must never be compromised.

This video is more than a memory, it is evidence of experience, preparedness, and a lifelong commitment to professional communication and public engagement

Kado is building platforms where silence is broken, lives are transformed, voices are empowered and strength is born

Beyond degrees, roles, titles and beyond the impressive résumé across continents, my truest identity remains constant: a woman whose heart has always belonged to empowerment. For me, leadership is not performance. It is service with intense passion.

About six years ago, I founded the Foundation for Women and Children's Empowerment (FOWCEM) a practical vehicle to advance the voices of marginalized, silenced, and abused women, and to advocate for women’s rights with courage and consistency. FOWCEM is not an isolated initiative; it is the continuation of a lifetime of advocacy, strengthened by my rare cross-party and interfaith goodwill. A proof that my mission is bigger than faction, and deeper than convenience.

And so I say this plainly: I'm comprehensively prepared for the Diaspora 6th Region PRO Position than anyone else. I do not know many young people so comfortable with the microphone-not for noise, but for persuasion grounded in clarity. I have not seen many whose commitment to national renewal is so sincere, so deeply rooted, and so sustained, carrying the torch in heart, mind, and soul for nearly three decades.

This is the kind of leader the APC has molded. This is the kind of leader many have longed to see. The consistent one, the change-maker, the empath, the reformer; a politician by conviction, not by manipulation.
I'm here to uplift, to unite, to empower, and to strengthen my party’s chances at victory by elevating voices, making leadership become something beyond rhetoric and empty promises.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Kadiatu Kamara (Kado) ready to give her party, and the Diaspora, the very best of herself; ready to ensure that women and men alike will "GAIN" from her transformational leadership.
