In Loving Memory of a Distinguished Servant Leader

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of our beloved Honorable Ernest Dura Koroma, who tragically lost his life in a road accident yesterday.

A man of vision, humility, and purpose — Hon. Dura dedicated his life to service, touching countless lives through his compassion, courage, and commitment to his people. His voice was one of wisdom; his actions, a testament to integrity and love for country.

In moments like these, words often fail to capture the depth of our pain. Yet, we find comfort in knowing that he lived a life of meaning — one that inspired hope, unity, and progress.

“A good leader never truly dies — their legacy lives on in the hearts of the people they served.”

May the Almighty grant him eternal rest, and may He comfort his family, colleagues, and all who mourn this great loss.

APC stands still today — for a son of the soil has gone home.

*A Solemn Statement on the Passing of Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma*

The Dr. Ibrahim Bangura (DIB) Movement of the All Peoples Congress (APC) party joins the bereaved families, friends, and colleagues of the late Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma to mourn his tragic death today.

Hon. Koroma’s sudden passing is a heart-breaking and irreparable loss to his immediate family, constituents, and the entire APC family. He was a dedicated public servant who served his people with humility, integrity, and an unwavering sense of duty. His contributions to the development and representation of Tonko Limba and Kambia District as a whole will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

Statement by the DIB Movement on the Occasion of World Teachers’ Day 2025

Today, the Dr. Ibrahim Bangura (DIB) Movement of the All Peoples Congress (APC) joins the global community in celebrating World Teachers’ Day 2025 under the theme, “Recasting Teaching as a Collaborative Profession.”

This day serves as a powerful reminder of the invaluable role teachers play in shaping minds, building character, and driving progress in every nation. In Sierra Leone, our teachers continue to demonstrate extraordinary resilience, commitment, and love for their vocation despite strenuous working conditions, limited resources, and meagre wages. Their unwavering dedication remains a beacon of hope in our collective quest for national transformation.

Teachers are kind-hearted people who give of themselves selflessly; nurturing dreams, instilling discipline, and inspiring generations to rise beyond their circumstances. They are change agents, the true drivers of a progressive nation, and the custodians of a positive mindset that fosters unity, tolerance, and innovation. Through their everyday sacrifices, they embody the values of diversity, inclusion, and boundless love; reaching every child regardless of background or ability.

As we mark this year’s World Teachers’ Day, the DIB Movement reaffirms its belief that no nation can rise above the quality of its teachers. Following a "successful meeting in Canada with members of the APC, this European leg of his international outreach underscores a deliberate effort to galvanize support from the diaspora and project a global image of leadership. The event, dubbed "A Night of Vision, Strategy and Solidarity," held at Carl-Ulrich-Strrsse 96433, Weiterstadt, Germany, is designed to be a pivotal moment, drawing supporters from across Europe, including France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
