Ending Child Early, Forced Marriage - CEFM in South Sudan In South Sudan, it is estimated that 52 per cent of girls are married before age 18 and 9 per cent are married before age 15.

While in Western Equatoria state, at least 5 out of 10 girls are either married before the age of 18 or impregnated before 15.

We invite the general public (UN, INGOs, NGOs, Government), individuals to join Advance Africa Initiative, UNFPA and Consortium Members on the commemoration of "The International of the Girl Child" which is celebrated annual, this year's theme is "My Voice, Our Future", in South Sudan will commemorate this day on October 12, 2020, on this day we will be launching a film titled "SEBILA", about a girl marriage off as a child and now lives in poverty, distress and agony in South Sudan
