The Third Country Training in Uganda Concludes!
With much anticipation and result oriented the workshop comes to an end today in Kampala, Uganda under the Guidance of JICA Chief Representative in South Sudan Mr. Maruo
The one week workshop which comprises teams from South Sudan and Sudan has brought together shared ideas and best practices in order to improve waste collection, landfill site management, and importance of allocating sufficient budget for vehicle maintenance purposes as key in sustaining both fee collection pilot project and business waste collection in the two sisterly countries.
After thorough presentation by the three groups; JICA Office through South Sudan Chief Representative presented awards to all the counterparts for their excellent work and urged the continuity of the project in their respective countries as waste management is a serious necessity in today's global economy.
Mr. Maruo during his opening and closing remarks urged the the third countries selected members to work collectively with authorities concern and share the gained knowledge and skills to advance waste collection systems in their cities.
"This workshop is very important and I expect you to address the challenges your countries are facing in waste management, said Maruo".
