COMRADE GEORGE, MEETS LOADER'S AND BUTCHER'S"s UNION AHEAD OF 16TH MAY SPLA/M DAY.

Juba, Monday 12th May 2026.

Cde. George pitia, Head of State Mobilization Committee, who double as the SPLM interim Chairperson in Juba County, met with Loader"s and Butcher's Union at SPLM State secretariat-CES.

He emphasized on the 43th anniversary celebration of 16th May SPLA/M Day. He called the loader's and Butcher's Union for merged efforts as the party and the nation gears toward the Commemoration of 16th May at Juba National Stadium.

Cde. Peter, the representative of both unions, appreciated the leadership of Cde.Emmanuel Adil (Secretariat) for the warmest recognization and vowed to collaborate, engage and support the upcoming big event.

COMRADE ANNA, DIRECTS SPLM STATE SUB-COMMITTEES TO FOCUS ON EMINENT ENGAGEMENT TOWARD 16TH MAY.

Juba, Monday May 11th, 2026.

Comrade Anna Kaku, the Chairperson for SPLM state committee in Central Equatoria State, held a fruitfull meeting with various Sub-committees in regards to 16th May SPLA/M Day.

She explained on the changes of the venue for the Commemoration of 16th May that has been changed from Dr. John Garang Mausoleum to Juba National Stadium which is very a strategic location that will accommodate a large number for the event.

She also directed and informed party members for two activities that will kick-off tomorrow 12th May 2026 in Lemon-Gabat area(Medan Silik) behind M7 side, at 2:00pm meanwhile Gueri North, Hai Khartoum area at 3:00pm.

These programs are design to promote massive political mobilization ahead of 16th May 2026 at Juba National Stadium. She encourage people to attend and support tomorrow's rallies under the theme: SPLM stands for peaceful and prosperous South Sudan.

SPLM shifts SPLA Day Celebrations from John Garang Mausoleum to Juba National Stadium

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) has announced a change of venue for the upcoming SPLA Day celebrations, shifting the event from the John Garang Mausoleum to Juba National Stadium.

The announcement was made on Monday by Jimmy Atilio, the Deputy Chairperson of the 16th May High-Level Committee, during a press conference held at the SPLM Secretariat in Juba.

According to the organizers, the 43rd SPLA Day celebrations, which were initially scheduled to take place at the John Garang Mausoleum, will now be held at Juba National Stadium.

COMRADE AUGUSTINO, AND CDE. ANNA KAKU, URGE CITIZENS OF REFERENDUM AND NEW-SITE TO UNITE THEIR RANKS FOR MASSIVE MOBILIZATION AHEAD OF 16TH MAY SPLA/M DAY.

The National Mobilization committee in collaboration with the state Sub-committee, met citizens of Referendum and New-site area, alerted masses on the upcoming commemoration of 16th May SPLA/M day.

Cde. Anna Kaku, the SPLM State secretary in central Equatoria State, encourage the citizens to unite their ranks and support the leadership of H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit, SPLM Chairman and president of the Republic of South Sudan ahead of 16th May SPLA/M Day as the beginning of a new page.

The chief of the area, appreciate the SPLM leadership at all levels and reaffirmed their commitment and dedication towards massive political mobilization.

Cde. Augustino, also encourage them to turn up for the historical event of 16th May SPLA/M Day to reflect on the sacrifices made by martyrs and their legacy motivate us to keep on struggling for justice, equality and development in the country.

Cde. Anna Kaku, the Chairperson for High Level Committee in Central Equatoria State, who also serves as the SPLM State secretary, graced a successful meeting with all local chiefs from central Equatoria State at SPLM State secretariat.

She informed the local chiefs on the upcoming commemoration for 16th May SPLA/M DAY as a respect to our fallen heroes and heroines that symbolizes our collective commitment to achieve freedom, justice and dignity for all south sudanese.

Morever, the representative of chiefs reaffirmed their commitment and vowed to collaborate and support the process for massive mobilization on the grassroots towards the National Celebration for 16th May 2026 said by Mr. Angelo.

He also urge citizens and members to reflect on the sacrifices made by martyrs and unite under the banner of peace, unity and prosperity ahead of the National annual Celebration.

CDE. NEJWA STRESSES COLLECTIVE EFFORTS TOWARDS MASSIVE MOBILIZATION FOR THE COMMEMORATION OF 16TH MAY 2026 AT DR. JOHN GARANG MAUSOLEUM.

JUBA, TUESDAY MAY 4TH, 2026

Cde. Nejwa Juma, the SPLM State Deputy Chairperson chaired a fruitfull meeting on behalf of Cde. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, the State SPLM chairperson.
The meeting was convened by the state High-Level Committee for the Commemoration of 16th May 2026 in coordination with the National SPLM Secretariat.

She stressed on the need for the party structure holders to rollout massive political mobilization by engaging the community leaders, Youths, Women and religious leaders across the State as the country prepares to host this historic day.

The meeting further also emphasized on the inclusivity aspect for people with disability and general public to turn in a big numbers as the day nears.
