Earlier today, I convened a briefing meeting with the Undersecretary and the Ministry’s senior management team. During this engagement, the Undersecretary provided comprehensive updates on ongoing and planned activities, including key projects supported by various development partners.

Members of the senior management team comprising the Undersecretary, Director Generals, and Directors also highlighted the Ministry’s principal achievements. In addition, they outlined the challenges currently facing the institution and engaged in constructive discussions on practical pathways to strengthen performance and enhance service delivery.

As part of my introductory engagements, I conducted a tour of the Ministry, visiting various offices and interacting with staff. This provided valuable insights into the working environment and underscored a strong commitment to accountability, teamwork, and transparency.

This approach reflects a deliberate effort to gain a thorough understanding of the institution prior to full operational engagement, while fostering a positive foundation for collaboration, cohesion, and sustained progress within the Ministry.
