The Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development, through the Building Institutional Foundations for an Effective Public Service (BIFEPS) Project, held a Reform Champions Target Setting Meeting with the Ministry of General Education and Instruction.

Supported by the World Bank Task Team Leaders and The Amiable HR Firm, the meeting focused on setting performance targets that will guide Reform Champions in advancing the Ministry’s priority reforms. Strengthening reform starts with clear priorities and shared accountability.

The Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development, through the Building Institutional Foundations for an Effective Public Service (BIFEPS) Project, successfully conducted a Reform Champions Target Setting Meeting with the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.

The session, facilitated with support from the World Bank Task Team Leaders and The Amiable HR Firm, brought together Reform Champions to define measurable performance targets aligned with the Ministry’s reform agenda. The Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development invites female public servants in Grades 1–4 to apply for the Women in Government Leadership Program (WGLP) under the World Bank-funded Building Institutional Foundations for an Effective Public Service (BIFEPS) Project.

The fully funded program offers executive leadership training, one-to-one mentorship, professional networking, and leadership development opportunities to prepare women for greater leadership and decision-making roles in government. Please note that no stipend, allowance, or other monetary benefit will be provided. Applications are open from 3 July to 17 July 2026.

Minister Launches High-Level Committees to Advance Public Service Reform

The Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development today launched the High-Level Steering Committee and Technical Working Group of the Functional Review and Job Classification, Pay and Grading Reform.

The reform will assess government functions and institutional structures, clarify roles and responsibilities, and establish a fair, transparent, and sustainable pay and grading system to strengthen public sector performance and improve service delivery.

The committees will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight to guide the successful implementation of these reforms.

This initiative is being implemented under the Building Institutional Foundations for an Effective Public Service (BIFEPS) Project, with support from the World Bank.

Headcount and Biometric Registration Exercise for the Organized Forces Officially Launched

The Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Finance and Planning, has officially launched the Headcount and Biometric Registration Exercise for the Organized Forces.

The exercise will strengthen payroll integrity, improve accountability, and support the creation of a verified biometric database for public servants.

The Organized Forces reaffirmed their commitment to fully participate in and support the exercise throughout its implementation.
