The Ministries of ICT, the Eswatini Communications Commission has handed over 60 desktop computers, 4 laptops, 4 projectors, and 4 display screens to be used by 4 schools, one per region in the country.

This investment supports the Eswatini Learning Passport, an online platform developed in collaboration with the Government of Eswatini, UNICEF, and Microsoft. The Learning Passport is transforming classrooms by providing digitized lessons for junior and senior secondary learners, with new content being added for primary schools.

Day 1 - 07 July 2025
Since 2022, the NCC has maintained an ongoing collaboration with the Meteorology Department under the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs. This workshop marks a significant milestone in the initiative, specifically focusing on integrating climate change education at the secondary school level.

As part of this initiative, yesterday (07.07.2025), Curriculum Designers from all departments within the NCC undertook a curriculum audit across both junior and senior secondary levels. The audit involved a systematic review of available teaching and assessment syllabuses for each subject.

The primary objective of the audit was to determine the extent to which climate change concepts have been integrated into current syllabi. This exercise was designed to identify existing gaps and generate strategic, evidence-based recommendations to support the effective integration of climate change education across secondary education. The findings will directly contribute to the project's broader objectives.
