The CEO today led Honourable Councillors on a site inspection of some of the Board's ongoing infrastructure projects to assess progress and obtain first-hand updates on implementation.

The tour included Lilanda Road Avenue, which is currently 70% complete and on track for completion by 26 June 2026.
Hon. Councillors also inspected the pilot installation of two different solar street light models currently being tested to determine the most effective and durable solution for the town's lighting needs.

It is worth noting that, as previously reported, the Board is undertaking a gradual transition from conventional electricity-powered street lighting to solar-powered lighting as part the Board’s sustainable development, energy efficiency, and improved service delivery.

Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to project completion.
