Today, the Department of Rehabilitation and Community Supervision had the privilege of participating in the International Day of the Boy Child observance at Wesley Methodist High School under the theme “Empowered Boys, Responsible Men: Thriving Emotionally, Socially, and Academically.” The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with young men and encourage discussions on personal growth, responsibility, positive decision-making, and achieving success both inside and outside the classroom.
We were pleased to have our Juvenile Manager, Mr. Andy Missick, deliver a presentation to the students, highlighting the importance of self-discipline, emotional intelligence, resilience, goal-setting, and making choices that lead to positive outcomes. Students were encouraged to recognize their potential, embrace accountability, and remain focused on building a bright future.
The Department extends sincere thanks to the Department of Gender Affairs and Wesley Methodist High School for the invitation and for organizing this meaningful initiative. We remain committed to supporting opportunities that empower youth, strengthen communities, and help develop the next generation of responsible and productive citizens across the Turks and Caicos Islands.
