The Paramount Chief Of Aflao And President Of Aflao Traditional Council, Torgbui Adzonugaga Amenya fiti V , has been officially Inaugurated and sworn in to the governing boards of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.

The inauguration ceremony saw Ms. Phyllis Engmann sworn in as GTA Board Chairperson and Torgbui Fiti V as a board member for the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.

Torgbui Fiti V expressed gratitude for the appointments, believing they will significantly contribute to leveraging tourism, culture, and the creative arts as vital engines for economic development. He pledged to honor Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's legacy and proudly represent Ghana's image.

A delegation from the Aflao Traditional Palace visited the Bulk Oil and Storage Transportation Company (BOST) yesterday to inform and invite the company to the launching of Torgbuiga Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V's 30-year anniversary.

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon James Gunu was in Aflao together with a delegation which included H.E. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, Hon. Dzifa Abla Gomashie, Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklachie, and H.E. Bright Solo Kumordzie, for the Forst Emergency General Meeting of the Aflao Traditional Council.

The delegation engaged the Aflao Traditional Council, led by Torgbui Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V, on key development issues and donated cash and other items in support of their work.

The Regional Minister, however, highlighted plans for a 24-hour market in Aflao and introduced the planning officers who will handle the technical work, urging landowners to cooperate with the Assembly to fast-track the project.

He also spoke on ongoing interventions, including efforts by H.E. John Dramani Mahama on the Agavedzi sea defence, the Aflao Market project and the “Big Push” road project.

They appealed to the residents to avoid unauthorized speed ramps, which hinder emergency services.
