Between Sun and Sea

Thailand was pretty dope. 💚

Last time I visited this beautiful and bountiful country was 2014, when I took refuge at {the most caring} B&B in Bangkok for 5 days while battling Dengue/Yellow Fever. Thankfully, the Thai hosts delivered homemade juice to my room everyday and nursed me back to health.

This time around things were much better. Between quiet sunset walks on the beaches of Koh Lanta and diving the most densely populated reef wreck I’ve ever seen in the Koh Phi Phi National Marine Preserve, this trip was everything I wanted the 2014 visit to be.

plus more since it felt like a never ending 🍯 🌙 with

…(not that we’re really into that 😘)

In conclusion, the
🌎 is open again for business- please play responsibly and remember to never step on the reef.

The NZ fur seal 🦭 is one of Aotearoa’s most beloved endemic beauties of land and sea. As they live and breed on the rocky coastline, but hunt far offshore, this important toanga species links the terrestrial and marine environments. 🌊 🐠

Why am I this close to fear seal pups? Not just to capture the cutest content you’ll see today, but to count the growing number of offspring in this colony’s next generation. 🙌🏼

Abel Tasman national park, golden bay, and Whakariki beach all make up the northern region of the South Island of New Zealand. On a map, this area is easily located by identifying the famous “kiwi head”.

Today it’s known for its beautiful beaches, green forests,and luxury tracks but for generations, these lands were also known as bountiful foraging and hunting grounds.

Thanks to national park and indigenous protection, reserves like these can once again be safe havens for an abundance of wildlife.

When we think of ways to sequester carbon, our initial reaction is typically, "PLANT MORE TREES!" Yes this is great, but let's not forget to dive deeper than just the surface level.

When Einstein gave lectures at numerous US universities, the recurring question that students asked him was:
- Do you believe in God?
And he always answered:
- I believe in the God of Spinoza.
