วันศุกร์ (25 ส.ค.) หลี่เฉียง นายกรัฐมนตรีจีน ได้ส่งสารแสดงความยินดีกับเศรษฐา ทวีสิน ซึ่งได้รับตำแหน่งนายกรัฐมนตรีไทย

หลี่กล่าวว่ามิตรภาพระหว่างจีนและไทยนั้นยืนยาวนับพันปี ส่วนความสัมพันธ์ระดับทวิภาคีได้ผ่านร้อนผ่านหนาวมานานถึง 48 ปี และยังคงเจริญเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่องในยุคใหม่ จีนให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์จีน-ไทยอย่างยิ่ง ยินดีทำงานร่วมกับไทยเพื่อดำเนินการตามผลลัพธ์สำคัญจากการเยือนไทยครั้งประวัติศาสตร์ของประธานาธิบดีสีจิ้นผิงเมื่อปี 2022 พร้อมสานต่อมิตรภาพ "จีนไทย พี่น้องกัน" อันแสนพิเศษ ส่งเสริมความเป็นหุ้นส่วนเชิงยุทธศาสตร์รอบด้านให้ลึกซึ้งยิ่งขึ้น ร่วมผลักดันการสร้างประชาคมจีน-ไทยที่มีอนาคตร่วมกันอย่างมั่นคงและต่อเนื่อง เพื่อทำให้ทั้งสองประเทศเป็นเพื่อนบ้านที่ดี มิตรที่ดี ญาติที่ดี และหุ้นส่วนที่ดีตลอดไป

ประกาศรับสมัครกิจกรรมประกวดคลิปวิดิโอสั้นความคิดสร้างสรรค์ภายใต้หัวข้อ “ฉันอยากไปประเทศจีน”

เพื่อยกระดับภาพลักษณ์การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศจีนให้พัฒนาก้าวหน้าไปอีกหนึ่งขั้น สำนักงานการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศจีน ณ กรุงเทพฯ จึงร่วมมือกับบริษัท ซีพี ออลล์ จำกัด (มหาชน) บริษัท ควอลิตี้ เอ็กซ์เพรส จำกัด และสายการบินจีนภายในประเทศไทย ดำเนินการจัดกิจกรรมประกวดคลิปวิดิโอสั้นความคิดสร้างสรรค์ภายใต้หัวข้อ "ฉันอยากไปประเทศจีน" เพื่อให้ประชาชนชาวไทยสัมผัสได้ถึงความน่าเชื่อถือและหลงรักประเทศจีนผ่านคอนเซ็ปต์ใหม่ “Nihao China”

2.6.1 ผู้เข้าร่วมเลือก 1 ในหัวข้อที่ทางคณะผู้จัดกำหนดไว้ประกอบด้วยวัฒนธรรมจีน ขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีจีน การท่องเที่ยวจีน หรืออาหารจีน ถ่ายวิดิโอสั้นความยาวไม่เกิน 1 นาทีโดยให้เห็นถึงความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ความสนุกสนาน และความกระตือรือร้น วิดิโอต้องมีความคมชัด สามารถใช้ภาษาจีนหรือภาษาไทยในการถ่ายทำก็ได้
2.6.2 ผู้เข้าร่วมต้องเผยแพร่ผลงานแบบสาธารณะผ่านทาง Facebook หรือ Tiktok ของตนเองพร้อมขึ้นต้นแคปชันว่า “ฉันอยากไปประเทศจีน....” พร้อมแท็ก -Bangkok และใส่แฮชแท็ก #你好中国 นอกจากนี้นำส่งผลงานผ่าน QR code ที่ทางคณะผู้จัดทำกำหนดไว้
2.6.3 ผู้เข้าร่วม 1 ท่านสามารถนำส่งผลงานได้เพียง 1 ชิ้นเท่านั้นและผลงานดังกล่าวต้องสร้างสรรค์ขึ้นด้วยตนเอง

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson’s Statement on the Japanese Government’s Start of Releasing Fukushima Nuclear-Contaminated Water into the Ocean

On August 24, in disregard of the strong criticism and opposition from the international community, the Japanese government unilaterally started the release of the Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean. China firmly opposes and strongly condemns it. We have made serious démarches to Japan and asked it to stop this wrongdoing.

The disposal of the Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water is a major issue about nuclear safety. Its impact goes beyond Japan’s borders, and the issue is by no means a private matter for Japan. Since humanity began using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, there has been neither any precedent nor universally recognized standards for discharging nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean. The Fukushima nuclear accident which took place 12 years ago was a major catastrophe that already caused the leakage of large amounts of radioactive substances into the ocean. There could be a man-made secondary disaster to the local people and the whole world if Japan chooses to dump the water into the ocean just to serve Japan’s selfish interests.

The Japanese government failed to prove the legitimacy and legality of the ocean discharge decision, the long-term reliability of the purification facility, and the authenticity and accuracy of the nuclear-contaminated water data. It failed to prove that the ocean discharge is safe and harmless to the marine environment and people’s health, and that the monitoring plan is sound and effective. Japan also failed to have thorough consultations with other stakeholders. The ocean belongs to all humanity. To forcibly start the ocean discharge is an extremely selfish and irresponsible act in disregard of the global public interest. By dumping the water into the ocean, Japan is spreading the risks to the rest of the world and passing an open wound onto the future generations of humanity. By doing so, Japan has turned itself into a saboteur of the ecological system and polluter of the global marine environment. It is infringing upon people’s rights to health, development and a healthy environment, which violates Japan’s moral responsibilities and obligations under international law. From the moment Japan started the discharge, it has put itself in the dock in front of the international community and is bound to face international condemnation for many years to come.

The Chinese government always puts our people’s wellbeing first, and will take all measures necessary to safeguard food safety and the health of our people.

Bloomberg: Japan announced today that it would begin releasing Fukushima waste water from as early as August 24. What is China’s response and will it take any further action on Japan or Japanese goods in the aftermath of the decision?

Wang Wenbin: In disregard of the strong concerns and firm opposition from the international community, the Japanese government announced the decision to start releasing the Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean from August 24. This is extremely selfish and irresponsible, as the discharge will spread the risks of nuclear contamination to the rest of the world, and by doing so, Japan is putting its selfish interests above the long-term wellbeing of the entire humanity. China is gravely concerned and strongly opposed to this. We have made serious démarches to Japan.

For the past two years and more, the legitimacy, legality and safety of Japan’s ocean discharge plan has been questioned over and over again by the international community. Japan has yet to address major international concerns such as the long-term reliability of the purification facility, the authenticity and accuracy of the nuclear-contaminated water data, and the effectiveness of the monitoring arrangement. China and other stakeholders have pointed out on multiple occasions that if the Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water is truly safe, Japan wouldn’t have to dump it into the sea—and certainly shouldn’t if it’s not. It is unjustified, unreasonable and unnecessary for Japan to push through the ocean discharge plan.

Regrettably, Japan has given scarce response to international concerns. It has been trying to create an impression that the ocean discharge is safe and harmless. It has even made unfounded accusations against neighboring countries who have expressed legitimate concerns. All of this has caused outrage among people in neighboring countries and in Japan.

The ocean sustains humanity. It is not a sewer for Japan’s nuclear-contaminated water. China strongly urges Japan to stop its wrongdoing, cancel the ocean discharge plan, communicate with neighboring countries with sincerity and good will, dispose of the nuclear-contaminated water in a responsible manner and accept rigorous international oversight. China will take all steps necessary to protect the marine environment, ensure food safety and safeguard people’s life and health.

ในช่วงเช้าวันที่ 21 สิงหาคม นายหลี่ เฉียง นายกรัฐมนตรีจีนได้พบกับนายธนินท์ เจียรวนนท์ ประธานอาวุโสของเครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ ที่มหาศาลาประชาชน ในกรุงปักกิ่ง

นายกฯ หลี่ เฉียง กล่าวว่าตลอด 45 ปี ของการปฏิรูปและเปิดสู่ภายนอกของประเทศจีนนั้น ชาวจีนโพ้นทะเล ชาวต่างชาติเชื้อสายจีน นักธุรกิจชาวจีนในต่างประเทศและนักธุรกิจชาวต่างชาติเชื้อสายจีนได้สร้างคุณูปการที่สำคัญอย่างยิ่ง

วันที่ 11 สิงหาคม 2566 นายอู๋ จื้ออู่ อัครราชทูตจีนประจำประเทศไทย ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดงานมหกรรมวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติประจำปี 2566 ของประเทศไทย โดยมีนายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงต่างประเทศ และแขกผู้มีเกียรติอื่นๆ เข้าเยี่ยมชมศาลาจีน

งานมหกรรมวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติของประเทศไทยเป็นงานแสดงนิทรรศการด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีระดับสูงและยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดประจำปีที่จัดขึ้นโดยรัฐบาลไทย แสดงให้เห็นถึงนวัตกรรมทางเทคโนโลยีที่ล้ำสมัยของโลก มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้และยกระดับคุณภาพด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีของประชาชน

เอกอัครราชทูต หาน จื้อเฉียง กล่าวสุนทรพจน์ที่คณะกรรมการป้องกันและปราบปรามการทุจริตแห่งชาติ

เมื่อวันที่ 4 สิงหาคม 2566 เอกอัครราชทูต หาน จื้อเฉียง ได้รับเชิญให้เข้าร่วมการสัมมนาของหลักสูตรนักบริหารยุทธศาสตร์การป้องกันและปราบปรามการทุจริตระดับสูง และกล่าวสุนทรพจน์ในหัวข้อ “ประวัติศาสตร์การต่อต้านการทุจริตของจีน” นายหานได้แนะนำนโยบายและแนวคิด กลไลปฏิบัติงาน ผลสำเร็จที่เด่นชัดและความมุ่งมั่นตั้งใจในการต่อต้านการทุจริตโดยตลอดของพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์จีน โดยถือหลักการการปกครองพรรคอย่างเคร่งครัดแบบรอบด้าน และผลักการการปฎิรูปตนเองเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาการทุจริต และชื่นชมความร่วมมือในด้านการต่อต้านการทุจริตระหว่างจีน-ไทยในหลายปีที่ผ่านมา หวังว่าทั้งสองฝ่ายจะส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนซึ่งกันและกัน ผลักดันให้ความร่วมมือด้านการต่อต้านการทุจริตระหว่างประเทศได้ก้าวขึ้นสู่ระดับใหม

การแข่งขันประกวดสุนทรพจน์และความรู้ภาษาจีน ระดับอุดมศึกษา “สะพานสู่ภาษาจีน” ครั้งที่ 22 รอบชิงชนะเลิศแห่งประเทศไทย ประจำปี พ.ศ. 2566 ได้สำเร็จลุล่วงไปด้วยดี

เมื่อวันที่ 30 กรกฎาคม การแข่งขันประกวดสุนทรพจน์และความรู้ภาษาจีน ระดับอุดมศึกษา “สะพานสู่ภาษาจีน” ครั้งที่ 22 รอบชิงชนะเลิศแห่งประเทศไทยได้จัดขึ้นที่มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนสุนันทา นายหาน จื้อเฉียง เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนประจำประเทศไทย พร้อมด้วยภริยา มาดามหวังฮวน นายศรัณย์ วัชราภัย รักษาราชการในตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการกลุ่มขับเคลื่อนทุนมนุษย์ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ฤๅเดช เกิดวิชัย นายกสภามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนสุนันทา และรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชุติกาญจน์ ศรีวิบูลย์ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนสุนันทาได้เข้าร่วมพิธีปิด รอบชิงชนะเลิศและกล่าวสุนทรพจน์ และคุณฉาง ยู่เหมิง ที่ปรึกษาฝ่ายวัฒนธรรมได้เข้าร่วมพิธีปิดด้วย

ท่านทูตหาน จื้อเฉียงกล่าวว่า ภาษาจีนเป็นหนึ่งในภาษาที่มีคนใช้มากที่สุดในโลก เป็นสิ่งสำคัญในการบันทึกอารยธรรมจีนนับแต่โบราณ การศึกษาภาษาจีนได้รับความสนใจเพิ่มมากขึ้นจากประเทศต่างๆ ทั่วโลก การแข่งขันประกวดสุนทรพจน์และความรู้ภาษาจีน ระดับอุดมศึกษา “สะพานสู่ภาษาจีน” ได้ผ่านไปแล้ว 22 ปี จนกลายเป็นแบรนด์ที่รู้จักกันดีในการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างสองประเทศ ท่านหาน จื้อเฉียงหวังว่าเยาวชนของจีนและไทยจะใช้ภาษาจีนเป็นสะพานเชื่อม ร่วมกันเพื่อก้าวไปสู่เส้นทางแห่งความฝัน สร้างอนาคตร่วมกัน และเป็นทูตในการสืบทอดและพัฒนามิตรภาพจีน-ไทย

คุณฤๅเดช เกิดวิชัยกล่าวว่า เราสามารถเข้าใจการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมและประวัติศาสตร์ของจีนและไทยอย่างลึกซึ้งผ่านการเรียนรู้ภาษาและวัฒนธรรมจีน ซึ่งจะช่วยส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนอารยธรรมไทย - จีน และกระชับมิตรภาพระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น

คุณศรัณย์ วัชราภัยกล่าวว่า โครงการประกวดสุนทรพจน์และความรู้ภาษาจีนระดับอุดมศึกษาเป็นโครงการที่สอดคล้องกับนโยบายของการกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรมในการส่งเสริมให้นักศึกษาและสถาบันอุดมศึกษาไทยได้พัฒนาไปสู่ความเป็นสากล เป็นเวทีสำคัญสำหรับนักศึกษาไทยในการแสดงความสามารถด้านภาษาจีนและการจัดเก็บองค์ความรู้ทางวัฒนธรรม

การประกวดสุนทรพจน์และความรู้ภาษาจีน ระดับอุดมศึกษา “สะพานสู่ภาษาจีน” ครั้งนี้ มีผู้เข้าแข่งขันทั้งหมด 29 คนได้เข้ารอบชิงชนะเลิศ นางสาวสิริขวัญ ลิจัน（张益荣）นักศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศระดับประเทศ และจะเป็นตัวแทนประเทศไทยไปเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันประกวดรอบชิงชนะเลิศระดับโลกที่ประเทศจีน นายกันต์ณัฏฐา พลอยแย้ม（萧鸿麟）นักศึกษาจากสถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบังได้รับรางวัล “รองชนะอันดับหนึ่ง” จะเดินทางไปชมการแข่งขันประกวดรอบชิงชนะเลิศระดับโลกที่ประเทศจีน

การประกวดครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นโดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตจีนประจำประเทศไทยและกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัย และนวัตกรรม โดยมีนิสิตนักศึกษาจำนวน 116 คนที่มาจากมหาวิทยาลัยจำนวน 32 แห่งได้สมัครเข้าร่วม มีผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านภาษาจีนจากมหาวิทยาลัย สื่อมวลชนไทยและจีน และผู้เข้าร่วมการประกวดรวมกว่า 500 คนได้เข้าร่วมงานครั้งนี้

การตอบคำถามของโฆษกสถานทูตจีนประจำประเทศไทย

Q: เมื่อเร็ว ๆ นี้ มีข่าวออนไลน์ในไทยระบุว่า มีนักธุรกิจและมัคคุเทศก์ชาวจีนเข้ามาทำงานในไทยและเกิดการแย่งงานคนไทย ชาวเน็ตไทยบางส่วนจึงขอให้รัฐบาลไทยดำเนินการตรวจสอบและปิดร้านค้าจีนที่ผิดกฎหมาย ทางสถานทูตจีนมีความคิดเห็นต่อประเด็นนี้อย่างไร?

A: จีนและไทยมีความสัมพันธ์ฉันมิตร ความสัมพันธ์ด้านเศรษฐกิจและการค้าระหว่างสองประเทศแน่นแฟ้นมาก จีนเป็นตลาดส่งออกหลักของไทย เป็นแหล่งการลงทุนหลัก และเป็นแหล่งนักท่องเที่ยวหลักของไทยด้วย ความร่วมมือด้านการค้า การลงทุนและการไปมาหาสู่กันระหว่างกันได้เอื้อผลประโยชน์ต่อทั้งสองประเทศ และเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการพัฒนาและความผาสุกของประชาชนของทั้งสองประเทศ

เราได้ติดตามคำวิจารณ์ที่เกี่ยวข้องบนสื่อออนไลน์ของไทยเมื่อเร็ว ๆ นี้ เราคิดเห็นว่า ควรมองปัญหาเฉพาะบางกรณีที่เกิดขึ้นจากชาวจีนบางคนด้วยท่าทีที่เป็นกลางอย่างมีเหตุผล และไม่ควรนำพฤติกรรมของคนบางคนมาตัดสินชาวจีนและบริษัทจีนทั้งหมดที่อยู่ในไทย

สิ่งที่ต้องระมัดระวังคือ มีบางกลุ่มภายนอกที่มีเจตนาไม่ดีแอบแฝงพยายามใช้กองกำลังไซเบอร์ ยุยงปลุกปั่น สร้างกระแสข่าวมาโดยตลอด เพื่อใส่ร้ายป้ายสีประเทศจีน ทำลายภาพลักษณ์ของจีน และทำลายความร่วมมือระหว่างจีน-ไทย ซึ่งฝ่ายจีนจะคัดค้านอย่างเด็ดขาด และจะทำงานร่วมกับทุกภาคส่วนของประเทศไทยเพื่อรักษาแนวโน้มการพัฒนาที่ดีของความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศ

Chinese Embassy Spokesperson’s Remarks

Q: Recently, there are some online news that some Chinese businessmen are conducting business and some Chinese tour guides are working in Thailand, snatching Thai’s of their job opportunities. Many Thai people call for the government to strictly investigate and ban illegal Chinese business in Thailand. What is the view of the Embassy?

A: Thailand and China enjoy friendlly relations with close economic and trade ties. China is Thailand’s main exporting markets, source of foreign investment, and group of foreign tourists. Trade and investment cooperation, as well as people to people exchanges between the two countries, are carried out on a mutually beneficial basis, benefiting the two countries’ respective development and the well being of the people from both countries.

We have noted relevant online remarks lately. We believe that an objective and rational perspective needs to be adopted with regard to individual problems occurring with a small number of individuals, and that any partial phenomenon should in no way speak for all Chinese citizens and enterprises in Thailand as a whole.

What deserves vigilance is that some external forces harbouring ill intention are, for quite some time, using their cyber forces to hype up related issues, with a view to smear China, sow discord between the Chinese and the Thai people, and sabotage Sino-Thai cooperation. We firmly oppose this and will work with Thai people from all works of life to safegard the good momentum of development that China and Thailand enjoy.

วันที่ 23 กรกฎาคม คณะนาฏศิลป์จากสถาบันบัณฑิตพัฒนศิลป์ของไทย นำการแสดงโขนชุด “รามเกียรติ์และระบำสี่ภาค” ในเทศกาลเต้นรำชนเผ่านานาชาติจีน (ซินเจียง) ครั้งที่ 6

รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.จินตนา สายทองคำ คณบดีคณะศิลปนาฏดุริยางค์ สถาบันบัณฑิตพัฒนศิลป์ กล่าวว่า “โขน” เป็นศิลปะการแสดงชนิดหนึ่งของไทยที่สวมหน้ากาก ซึ่งรวมศิลปะการแสดงและนาฏศิลป์ของไทยหลายชนิด และผู้แสดงจะมีท่าทางมือและสีหน้าหลากหลายในการแสดง เครื่องดนตรีประกอบการแสดงโขนประกอบด้วย ระนาด ชุดฆ้อง ปี่ใน กลองและฉิ่ง เป็นต้น

“คณะนาฏศิลป์ของเราได้เข้าร่วมงานเทศกาลนี้เป็นครั้งแรก พวกเรารู้สึกยินดีมากเมื่อทราบว่าได้รับเชิญให้เข้าร่วมในงานเทศกาล นักแสดงทุกคนในคณะได้ฝึกซ้อมอย่างจริงจังสำหรับการแสดงครั้งนี้ โดยหวังว่าจะนำการแสดงอันงดงามที่สุดมาสู่ผู้ชมชาวจีน เพื่อให้ทุกคนได้เพลิดเพลินกับการแสดงของไทยอย่างแท้จริง แล้วก็หวังว่าจะได้สื่อสารแลกเปลี่ยนกับคณะนาฏศิลป์ของจีนและประเทศอื่นๆ เพื่อเผยแพร่ศิลปะวัฒนธรรมของแต่ละประเทศ” รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.จินตนา สายทองคำ กล่าว

อาจารย์เอกลักษณ์ หนูเงิน นักแสดงนำกล่าวว่า “พวกเราบินจากกรุงเทพฯไปถึงกวางโจว แล้วต่อเครื่องมาถึงเมืองอุรุมชี แม้ว่าการเดินทางจะยาวนาน แต่ทุกคนมีความสุขมาก ชาวซินเจียงกระตือรือร้นมาก อาหารก็อร่อย ผมรู้สึกเป็นเกียรติอย่างยิ่งที่ได้เข้าร่วมงานเทศกาลครั้งนี้ โดยสามารถนำเสนอศิลปะวัฒนธรรมไทยสู่ผู้ชมชาวจีน หากมีโอกาสในอนาคต ผมหวังว่าจะได้เข้าร่วมอีกครั้ง”

FAST กล้องโทรทรรศน์วิทยุยักษ์ของจีน ตรวจจับพัลซาร์ได้มากกว่า 800 ดวง
China Media Group (CMG) สื่อหลักของจีย รายงาน FAST กล้องโทรทรรศน์วิทยุทรงกลมขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในโลกของจีน โดยจานรับสัญญาณมีเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง 500 เมตร ตรวจพบพัลซาร์ใหม่กว่า 800 ดวงนับตั้งแต่เปิดตัวในปี 2559 ตามการเปิดเผยของผู้ดำเนินการกล้อง FAST เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 25 กรกฎาคม 2566 ที่ผ่านมา
เจียง เผิง (Jiang Peng) หัวหน้าวิศวกรของกล้องโทรทรรศน์กล่าวว่าจำนวนพัลซาร์ (Pulsar) ใหม่ที่ FAST ค้นพบมีมากกว่าสามเท่าของจำนวนพัลซาร์ทั้งหมดที่กล้องโทรทรรศน์ต่างประเทศค้นพบในช่วงเวลาเดียวกัน

พัลซาร์หรือดาวนิวตรอนที่หมุนรอบตัวเองอย่างรวดเร็ว กำเนิดจากการระเบิดเป็นซูเปอร์โนวาเมื่อสิ้นอายุขัยของดาวฤกษ์ที่มีมวลมหาศาล

On July 25, 2023, Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong and Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand Sarun Charoensuwan co-chaired the sixth round of China-Thailand Strategic Dialogue in Beijing.

Nong Rong said that China and Thailand are good neighbors, good friends, good relatives and good partners. President Xi Jinping paid a historic visit to Thailand last November, ushering bilateral relations into a new era of building a community with a shared future. China is ready to work with Thailand to continue implementing the important outcomes of the visit, accelerate the implementation and entry into effect of the China-Thailand-Laos Connectivity Development Corridor Outlook, advance exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade and investment, science, education, culture and health, and law enforcement and security in a coordinated manner, and enhance coordination and cooperation within such frameworks as China-ASEAN cooperation and the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation. China supports Thailand in following a development path suited to its national conditions and maintaining stability and development.

Sarun Charoensuwan said that the special friendly relations that "Thailand and China are as close as one family" have deep roots, and Thailand is ready to work with China to take the implementation of the outcomes of President Xi Jinping's historic visit to Thailand as the main task, enhance friendly exchanges at all levels, strengthen practical cooperation in various fields, and promote sustained, solid progress in the building of a Thailand-China community with a shared future. Thailand is firmly committed to the one-China policy, supports China in playing a bigger role in regional and international affairs, and stands ready to join hands with China in advancing the building of a peaceful, safe and secure, prosperous, beautiful and amicable home for ASEAN and China, and the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation.

The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of mutual interest and concern and reached extensive common understandings.

Ambassador Han emphasized that, under the guise of promoting democracy, some countries instigated street violence in Hong Kong, and supported the “Taiwan independence forces”. They did so only because they want to make troubles for China. Such a conspiracy in front of China will never succeed and is doomed to fail, because the Chinese people champion their own country’s system, and this is invincible.

On 4 February 2022, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

Wang Yi first welcomed Princess Sirindhorn to the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, which will kick off later today. Wang said Princess Sirindhorn is an old friend of the Chinese people and symbolizes that China and Thailand are as close as family. China highly appreciates that the Thai royal family always pursues friendly China policy and would make joint efforts with Thailand to make bilateral relations better and more amicable.

Princess Sirindhorn thanked China for helping Thailand fight the pandemic and highly appraised bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Noting that she has visited China nearly 50 times, Princess Sirindhorn said she planned to publish a new book to introduce history and achievements of the Communist Party of China, and added she would continue to visit China and further deepen research to this end.

Wang Yi said, in the face of the once-in-a-century pandemic, China and Thailand stood with each other with unity and solidarity to tide over difficulties. China was the first country to provide vaccines to and also the biggest source of the vaccines of Thailand. China earnestly honors its commitment to making vaccines a global public good and has offered over 2.1 billion vaccines to developing countries. China would continue to provide vaccines to Thailand in line with its needs until the country totally prevails over the pandemic.

Wang Yi also said in order to understand China, one must learn the Party first and if one could recognize the flesh-and-blood bond between the Party and the people, they can see clearly bright prospects of China's future. In response, Wang appreciated Princess Sirindhorn’s move and presented her with books and albums of paintings of the Party.

Both sides noted that the two countries would continue to strengthen pragmatic cooperation in various fields, such as education and culture, youth exchanges, traditional medicine and technological innovation, so as to inject sustained impetus into bilateral relations and cultivate more successors of China-Thailand friendship.
'Embrace'- Winter Olympics-themed Tune

Musicians Asr and Mico Liu Wei from China, Doctor Victor from Iceland and Carlo Facchini from Italy were each given seven days to compose a one-minute piece that reflected their musical taste and understanding about winter sports and the Beijing Winter Olympics which begin on February 4. The four musical tracks were then masterfully fused to form "Embrace" – a title decided by an online poll.

Bridging the gap between tradition and modernity in both content and form, the tune starts with ethereal elements of snow from north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the bustling city life of southeastern coastal city of Fuzhou. It then goes on to blend with the bursting passion of Icelandic volcanos before it culminates with the romanticism of Italy, the host of the next Winter Olympics in 2026.

Based on the Beijing 2022 motto "Together for a Shared Future," the production reflects the spirit of harmony and friendship, and aspires to bring China and the world closer.

Traditional Chinese calendar divides a year into 24 solar terms. Lìchūn, is the 1st solar term. It traditionally signifies the beginning of spring in East Asian cultures. Chinese New Year is celebrated around this time. Farmers often celebrate the beginning of Lichun with special village events, worship and offerings to the Taoist and Buddhist gods and ceremonies for a blissful and prosperous new year. In China, people eat chūnbǐng (春餅，Spring Cake) on this day.
