Some were just discovering romance, while others were not yet in relationships but already carried their own charm and style.
Besides singing many revolutionary songs, we also sang many love songs, Natália, Biskota, and many others.
These were the things that defined a generation, those of us who came of age in the late 1990s and became witnesses to 20 May 2002.
I remember waking up around midday on 20 May, after staying awake the entire night, feeling emotionally overwhelmed… finally, we truly governed ourselves!
One question immediately came to my mind: what comes next? How do we move forward?
It was an extraordinarily rare privilege to be able to contribute to making a country independent and to assist the independence ceremony itself.
A life rich with experiences! I witnessed the miracle of something once thought impossible becoming reality.
