The Ministry of Fisheries joined the Royal Agricultural, Fisheries, Tourism and Trade Mini Show celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Tonga’s Constitution šŸ‡¹šŸ‡“šŸŸ. The event united fishers, SMA communities, and stakeholders to showcase products and highlight shared efforts toward sustainable fisheries and national development. The Ministry thanks all participants for their ongoing support in strengthening Tonga’s fisheries sector.

šŸ“ŒWhile the Mini Agricultural Show is a smaller event, Tonga also holds a larger annual event known as the Royal Agricultural, Fisheries, Tourism and Trade Show. The show was part of Tonga's Constitution 150 years Celebration and also coincided with World Food Day 2025.

šŸ“Œ Successful quarterly monitoring visit to the Kolonga Special Management Area (SMA) with the Deputy CEO of Science and officers from the Ministry of Fisheries, alongside Kolonga’s SMA committee members and town officer.

During the visit, the team also handed out the Microplastic in Fish chart to support ongoing community awareness and sustainable coastal management efforts. šŸŒŠšŸŸšŸ‡¹šŸ‡“
