❓What Do Private Waiting Rooms Provide?
Private waiting rooms are designed to support individuals who may feel unsafe, anxious, or at risk while attending court. This includes:
🟠Survivors of domestic or family violence
🟠Victims and witnesses
🟠Children or elderly people
🟠Individuals with disabilities
🟠Those experiencing trauma or distress

❓What do these spaces offer?
🟢A secure area away from others involved in proceedings
🟢Prevent unwanted contact with accussed or perpetrator
🟢A quieter environment to manage stress and anxiety
🟢Privacy from the public before or during court attendance

❓How can you use these spaces?
🔷Speak to Court Staff – Let the court staff know about your concerns.
🔷Contact the Registrar – You can request assistance from the court registrar.
🔷Advise your Legal Representative – If you have a lawyer, they can also make the request on your behalf at least 24 hours before your court proceeding.

✅The goal is to ensure everyone can participate in court proceedings safely and with confidence.

LAUNCH DAY: 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM

The project is pleased to have participated in this important program and will continue to be part of the awareness clinics taking place across the villages of the Town District in Tongatapu.

During these community outreach programs, you will be provided with:

✔️ Information on the work and services of the Project
✔️ Public awareness on the Family Protection Act 2013
✔️ Free brochures and information materials for the community
✔️ Commissioning of affidavits free of charge
✔️ Certification of documents free of charge

These services are offered to ensure that individuals, families, and communities have access to justice, clear information, and support in addressing domestic and family violence matters.

We look forward to meeting members of the community and supporting ongoing efforts to strengthen protection, awareness, and access to essential legal services. 💛
