A New Chapter for a Historic Landmark

On August 19th 2026, the Arima Borough Corporation officially reopened the Arima Town Hall, marking an important milestone in the history of the Royal Chartered Borough of Arima.

The ceremony, which included the official ribbon-cutting, brought together the Mayor, Opposition Leader and MP for Arima, Members of the Arima Borough Council, other Memebers of Parliament, specially invited guests and members of the community to celebrate the restoration of this important civic landmark.

Following extensive restoration and upgrading works, the Town Hall is once again ready to serve as a centre for public service.

The reopening represents more than the return of a building. It is a celebration of Arima's heritage, civic identity and continued progress, while looking ahead to the Town Hall's role in serving present and future generations.
