The National Reforestation and Watershed Rehabilitation Programme is dedicated to implementing effective planting and maintenance strategies to improve the value and diversity of forest crops in project areas. Our agricultural team at Rio Claro Pond Road has set a remarkable example by clearing and planting fifteen hundred trees on a seven-acre plot of land within just three months. The plantation has 500 Mahogany, 500 Appamat, 300 local cedar, and 200 mixed fruit species, including penny piece, mango, pomerac, and jamoon. This feat is a testament to our team’s expertise, dedication, and commitment to our goal of achieving a greener and more sustainable future.

Greetings! We’re excited to ask, have you had the pleasure of viewing our latest video? It’s definitely worth a watch as it highlights three awesome benefits of beach cleanups for our beloved beaches in 🇹🇹.
DON’T MISS OUT ✨✔️

Beach clean-ups are community initiatives aimed at removing litter and debris from coastal areas.

Three key benefits of beach clean-ups include:

1. Preserving the Environment: By removing litter and debris from beaches, clean-ups help preserve the natural beauty of coastal areas.
This contributes to the overall health and well-being of marine ecosystems, protects wildlife, and maintains the biodiversity of these fragile environments.

2. Promoting Economic Growth: Beaches are popular tourist destinations, and their cleanliness plays a significant role in attracting visitors. Clean beaches have a positive impact on the local economy, as tourists are more likely to visit an area with pristine shores.

3. Fostering Community Pride and Engagement: In line with the National Reforestation Programme’s core value of Community Co-Management, beach clean-ups bring people together, fostering a sense of community and pride.
Participants in beach clean-ups feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction knowing that they have made a notable difference in their community.

The National Reforestation Program is a crucial and constructive initiative that plays a vital role in protecting and restoring the natural environment by planting trees and promoting reforestation. In addition to its environmental goals, the program also prioritizes the safety and well being of citizens in the respective areas by mitigating the potential risks of rainfall. Check dams are extremely effective barriers that are constructed in water channels using materials such as stone, wood, or bamboo to significantly slow down the flow of water. Their primary purpose is to control soil erosion, but they also provide an additional benefit of preventing flooding. With their impressive ability to regulate water flow, check dams are a reliable solution for protecting land and homes.
