IS/IVCF HISTORY

The work of IS/IVCF was introduced in Trinidad by Mrs. Thompson had returned from studying at the Mona Campus of U.W.I. Jamaica, where she witnessed the lives of students transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. George's College, Barataria, and since then the work has expanded into approximately 1 1Primary schools, 73 Secondary schools and 13 Tertiary Institutions, including tea

chers, technical and vocational colleges and the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. VISION STATEMENT

To assist students in the following areas of their development:

Formation of sound values and behaviour guided by the Word of God. Spiritual/social/physical/mental maturity and leadership ability. Commitment to Christian Fellowship and prayer. Concern for others and ability to communicate their faith to them. Active service in evangelism, missions and discipleship. Community involvement and choice of vocation

OPERATIONS & ACTIVITIES

IS/IVCF clubs operate in schools and educational institutions. The clubs are led by students but are under the direction of a teacher sponsor. There are weekly meetings which may have varying themes designed to promote Christian growth and upright living. Through literature, camps and leadership seminars, students are trained to be socially and spiritually responsible to handle peer pressure.
