Today I am in my Biche Sub office. I will be conducting office days in Mayaro, Guayaguayare, Kernaham and in our main office in Rio Claro once the adjustments are completed.

As part of the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government’s Flood Mitigation Programme, crucial drainage and flood relief work is underway at Guppy Hill Trace, bringing much-needed protection and peace of mind to residents. This initiative, launched by Minister Ameen, is a proactive step towards building safer, more resilient rural communities.

On the Ground in Mayaro

Member of Parliament for Mayaro, Nicholas Morris, along with Chairman of the Mayaro Rio Claro Regional Corporation, Raymond Cozier, other Council Members, the Disaster Management Unit (DMU), and representatives from the Ministry of Works, are actively on the ground today.

They are visiting areas across the Mayaro Constituency where rising waters caused by the inclement weather have impacted residents — ensuring that timely relief and assistance can be delivered to those affected.

📌 The team is currently in Poole Valley, assessing the situation firsthand.
