Electrical safety tips after a flood
RIC's Home Safety Tip: π‘οΈ Electrical safety tips after a flood π
Do not touch anything electrical that has been in contact with water. Any appliances that have become wet should not be plugged back in until they can be checked by a technician and found to be safe. A small amount of moisture trapped inside an appliance can cause major damage.

π‘ Why is this important?
- Water and electricity are a dangerous combination. Contact with water can cause electric shocks, short circuits, and even fires.
- Children may not understand the risks, so it's up to us to create a safe environment.
