It's World Recycling Day and NP is proud to be a part of the worldwide effort to protect our limited natural resources.

In 2019 NP joined SWMCOL's W.R.A.P. (Workplace Waste Reduction and Recycling Programme), placing recycling bins throughout our offices so employees could responsibly get rid of their office paper, aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles; and tetrapak.

To date we have collected 334 bags of recycled material weighing 2,551 kg.

Thank you to our Recycling Heroes and keep doing what you can to take care of this planet we call home!

As we continue to adjust to living with Covid-19, and as a responsible Corporate Citizen, NP is motivated to continue with the virtual rollout of its NP Gas School Safety Caravan so as to educate and make a difference among the standards 3, 4 and 5 students who in turn will serve as change champions at home and among their peers.

In light of ongoing developments with the COVID-19 pandemic, NP has decided to move its NP Gas School Safety Caravan to a fully online, virtual experience.
On 14th January 2021, the NP Gas team was able to successfully deliver the first virtual session to sixty (60) participants of the Crystal Stream Government Primary School, inclusive of students and teachers alike.
Launched in April 2019, the popular educational programme for primary school students teaches and reinforces practices around the safe use, handling, and storage of LPG cylinders, or cooking gas.
Directing the training at the students is an efficient way to get the message across to parents, guardians and siblings as students are empowered as change agents and share the safety messages at home.
In the interactive sessions, students are taught valuable lessons such as: setback distances from ignition sources, dealing with leaking cylinders, the frequency to replace hoses and regulators, using the correct approved regulator (EN 12864 and EN 16129), the proper installation of a regulator, checking for leaks using the soapy water method, the components of LPG and the safe transportation of LPG cylinders.

NP wishes to remind the public that there are stringent quality control measures and systems in place for the inspection of all NP-owned 20lbs and 100lbs Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders prior to such cylinders being refilled.
One such measure is the addition of a pungent smelling chemical known as ethyl mercaptan, as a safety barrier for customers since LPG is an odourless gas. This addition helps to alert customers to any leaks or escaping LPG.
For more information on our Quality Standards and Control Measures for LPG, please check the following link:

CNG stands for Compressed Natural Gas. It is a gaseous fuel and is a mixture of hydrocarbons, mainly methane in the range of 95%. Due to its low density, it is compressed to a pressure of 200 bar to enhance the vehicle on-board storage capacity.

NP Gas
Its core business is filling and supplying 20lb and 100lb Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders to approximately fifty percent (50%) of the Trinidad market through eleven (11) contracted distributors. Additionally, Natpet tests and refurbishes these LPG cylinders. The Filling, Testing and Refurbishment plants are located on NP’s compound at Sea lots, Port of Spain. The Company has been in existence for about twenty years but its current plant was opened in 2004.

In 2009, Natpet diversified its product range with the manufacture and sale of specialized drums for making steelpans. Today, steelpans made from Natpet drums are used locally and exported all over the world to great acclaim.

Located on NP’s compound at National Drive, Sea Lots, NATPET is one of two Filling Plants in Trinidad with responsibilities for the following:

Bulk transportation of LPG from the refinery to our Filling Plant atSea Lots, Port of Spain.
-Inspection of all cylinders entering and exiting the Filling Plant.
-Filling of LPG cylinders for the Domestic Market.
-Filling of sundry LPG cylinders (forklift, barbeque, etc); this service is provided on a walk-in basis at Natpet’s plant where customers may wait while their cylinders are filled and returned to them in minutes
-Sales of LPG cylinders to authorised distributors in Trinidad.
-Ensuring there is an adequate, reliable and safe supply of LPGavailable for the domestic market.

Been at the gasparillo gas station just now for about eight minutes and four people came harassing me for money and I'm a woman and now is covid times. Please address 😑
Mr Chan said that NP inspection is being done very biased an unfair to contractors. This is the 3rd time this tractor truck has fail inspection for parts that has no defects.
Hi good day for the past few months our gas tanks that we bought have been leaking I thought it was the cords so we changed it just to be certain now gas that let us close to a month ends in2 weeks tops and it is a risk to the help of my family and it is also an expense so could someone co tact me
I regret to say that NP has not been responding to the complaints of the population regarding 20lb gas tanks leaking at the seal. "Customer service" has been routing them to the other LPG bottling plants knowing full well that the seals for ALL the tanks are supplied by NP. Another "customer service agent told the person to email their complaint, which is nothing short of trying to frustrate them Since posting about this, over 2,000 people have shared in a few days, nearly 700 have commented, and I have received over 100 private messages with virtually the same story. It's time to make a PUBLIC STATEMENT on this. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=798338484041300&id=100015954676658
This afternoon my husband and I went to Cocoyea Gas Station to full CNG. We were second in line to fuel, as the first car finished we were up next and forwarded to the vacant unit to fuel. The man in the blue car (taxi) came from the exit of the gas station (which is the opposite side to me) and reversing his way into the vacant unit where I was already approaching. He was apparently told by the unidentified NP worker to move towards the vacant unit. To my HORROR an oddly unidentified man came out of no where running towards my car shouting move, move, move I say, like yuh not hearing me, I say move yuh *** car. At that point I’m scared and don’t know what to do. He approached the car now hastily “like yuh eh hear I say stay there, don’t move”. Then someone name Ms Dianne came, she is in red as the other workers so I asked her is he working here, she said yes, I said I won’t know that based on how he’s dressed. He’s not in a uniform. She said that’s ok. This unidentified NP worker carrying on hostilely. I asked Ms Dianne are you filling us up as I would like to leave, to my surprise, she said NO. NOTE: Cocoyea NP Station is the only south based CNG station. I was in the first batch to purchase a CNG vehicle in this country and all these years I been going there to fill gas, never seen this individual, nor been served by someone so rude, disrespectful and not properly attired. I am calling on the relevant authorities/personnel to deal with this matter URGENTLY. Because Ms Dianne said she will not fill gas for me again because her co worker is right whatever it be. NP why is your staff not properly attired? Why is your staff so untrained and disrespectful? This is WRONG and totally ADVANTAGEOUS. If my husband wasn’t there with me I would have been even more traumatized seeing this oddly unidentifiable man approaching me hastily and yelling at me. I waited in line to be treated this way? And to be refused gas? Only because they choose who they want to send first and from the opposite side of the gas station to? So tell me why you have a line for CNG then? And this unidentified NP worker is the one who dictates who go where and when. How can you have someone who came from the exit of the station come and fill before people who in line waiting ?? No, no. I am calling on the authorities and or personnel to deal with this matter. I’ve a CNG vehicle for the purpose of refueling CNG for use. A very concerned CNG citizen.
This afternoon at Cocoyea NP Gas Station my husband and I went to put cng, this oddly unidentified man ran towards our vehicle and yelling at us to move. All of a sudden he approached us even closer, hands raising and voice at the same time, move, move, I tell you to move now. We got so startled we didn’t know what to do because we can not move forward as cars are parked at all units refueling. We were in the CNG line waiting for our turn, the blue car (Taxi) came from the exit entrance and was told by the oddly unidentified man to come to the vacant unit where I was supposed to go next to fill. When he saw us moving towards the unit he starting using obscene language at us. Then someone named Ms Dianne came and asked what’s going on, I told Ms Dianne, is this man a worker here ? She says yes. I said he don’t look like one, he is not in a uniform. Ms Dianne said that’s ok. The unidentified man carries on hostilely and I asked Ms Dianne are you fulling up the gas for us, she said NO to my surprise. Apparently it is ok to have someone yelling at you dressed like a bandit and to have Ms Dianne refusing us gas. Note we were second in line, the person infront filled and went his way and we moved up and then this took place. Ms Dianne made it clear we can not come there again for gas. NP is this what paying citizens have to put up with ? Is this right to refuse gas because we were alarmed out of our wits at this person due to his appearance. Should we not be concerned given the current situation in this country? I am calling on the relevant authorities to deal with this and put a stop. Not forgetting we were right in place to be fueled next. Why were we told to move and refused gas ?? This is ADVANTAGEOUS and WRONG. Must it be known, this is the ONLY south based CNG fueling station available. I’ve been putting gas there for the last 5 years since I bought a CNG vehicle and NEVER seen him before. Now tell me NP where am I to refuel my gas now that your people decides who gets gas and who don’t. NP, I am calling on you to deal with this matter please. A very concerned citizen.

I lost my wallet today in Chaguanas.I was so devastated when I realized it as I had already reach home...Have you ever lost something and you felt empty and wanted to shed a tear but hold back...well this happened to me today.. I frantically left home and went back to Chaguanas in the vicinity of the NP Gas Station located on Chaguanas main road where I enquire from a driver about my wallet he then direct me to the Service Station to one of the NP Workers which I later found out her name Davica Ramkissoon who kept it for me... apparently it fell out from my possession when I was entering a vehicle at that location. Davica asked me my name to identify that same was my belongings all my cash ,cards and Precious memories was inside of it remains in it.I was lost for words for a second she even told me a driver 'cuss' her up because she didn't want to give him the wallet even though he said he knows me because she said she felt I won't received all the money inside of it which I understood...she also told me she try to reach out to me on Facebook.I am absolutely blown away by the kindness of this person. I will definitely be keeping this act of service in my heart. Thanks again to Davica Ramkissoon for putting back a smile on someone face .There is still good people out here God Bless you. GOOD WORKER honesty goes a long way..
At the The NP gas station at Duncan Village in San Fernando customers are forced to have their debit and credit cards used by the fuel cashier, out of sight behind black tinted glass. With the upsurge in card skimming, a customer should have the facility of seeing their cards at all times. Please investigate and address.
