The Honourable Saddam Hosein, Minister of Land and Legal Affairs and Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, is spearheading a meeting with key State entities and divisions to advance discussions on land development.

The meeting brings together representatives from Town and Country Planning, T&TEC, WASA, the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure (Drainage Division), Land Management Division , EMBD, EMA and Caroni 1975 Limited, among other stakeholders.

Discussions are focused on technical considerations, coordination among agencies and identifying a clear path forward to support the development of the lands.

The Ministry of Land and Legal Affairs is working together to deliver results.

🚨PUBLIC NOTICE🚨

The Ministry of Land and Legal Affairs wishes to advise the public that we are currently experiencing a system disruption within the Surveys and Mapping Division, resulting in the temporary disruption and reduced availability of certain public services.

Technical teams are actively working to resolve the issue and restore full system functionality as quickly as possible. A subsequent notice will be issued once full service has been restored.

The Ministry sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for its patience and understanding during this period.

The Ministry of Land and Legal Affairs, led by the Honourable Saddam Hosein, Minister of Land and Legal Affairs and Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, is proud to share our national address at the WIPO 68th General Assemblies in Geneva.

During his presentation, Minister Hosein highlighted Trinidad and Tobago's major milestones in international relations and intellectual property management. He noted the global confidence shown in our nation's election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term and detailed legislative advancements designed to support our creators, farmers, and innovators. These include updating the Copyright Act, enhancing plant variety protections, and securing a certification trademark for our world-famous Trinitario cocoa.
