Happy World Standards Day! Standards touch almost every part of our daily lives. International Standards offer practical solutions we can all stand behind. By using international standards, you become a part of the solution. They ensure that products and services work the way that we expect them to, making life safer and more enjoyable. World Standards Day (WSD) takes place every year on October 14th and offers an opportunity to raise awareness and increase understanding of the importance of standardization. It is a collaborative initiative of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). International standards bring technological, economic and societal benefits. They help to harmonize specifications of products and services, making industry more efficient and breaking down barriers to international trade. Conformity to international standards can help reassure consumers that products and services are safe, efficient and environmentally responsible. Standards are also essential to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and creating a fairer, more sustainable world. CARIRI recognizes the crucial role that standards play in the achievement of the sustainable development agenda and the impact it has on industrial development and economic growth. As a reputable organization, we are proud to have and will always strive to maintain International Accreditation to the 𝐈𝐒𝐎/𝐈𝐄𝐂 𝟏𝟕𝟎𝟐𝟓:𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟕. #WorldStandardsDay #standards #SustainableDevelopmentGoals #SDG
Happy World Teacher’s Day!👩🏫🍎 Today, on World Teachers’ Day, we celebrate the critical role of teachers in transforming learners’ potential by ensuring they have the tools they need to take responsibility for themselves, for others and for the planet. As the Covid 19 crisis revealed, teachers are the engines at the heart of our education systems, without whom it is impossible to provide an inclusive and equitable quality education to every learner. The pandemic has been a challenging time, not only for the education sector; it has made us aware of our fragility and interconnectedness, and the fact that we can only cope with 21st century challenges, such as climate change, rising inequalities and rapid technological change, if we all work together. As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑢𝑛𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑒𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑐𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦.
