The Tuvalu Department of Labour is pleased to share that the RSE group comprises a total of 22 workers, of which 21 workers departed Tuvalu on Saturday, 10 January, to take up employment with Focus Contracting Ltd in New Zealand under the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme. Today, we proudly farewell five of our dedicated workers as they depart for Australia to begin a long-term engagement of four years with Junee Prime Lamb in New South Wales.
At last week’s PDB Closing Ceremony, the Minister of MFALT Honorable Minister Paulson Panapa encouraged the workers, reminding them of their duties and the expectations of their families and our nation. The First Secretary for DFAT in Tuvalu also extended warm wishes for their success.
This morning, families and friends gathered to bid them farewell, sending them off with love and prayers. The Department of Labour joins in wishing them every success and God’s blessings as they embark on this important journey.
πŸ“’ Next Cohort: The next group of workers will depart in December or early January 2026.
We are proud of these ambassadors of hard work and commitment. Best wishes to all!
